Ms. C. L. Montgomery: This book was just amazing! It grips you the whole way through and frustrates you all at once! My heart breaks for Summer and all she has been through an the hits just keep coming, never wanted someone to find a way out and a glimmer of happiness more. I love the mystery around V and the fact you constantly try to work out who is, so desperate to know and can't get enough of this series

Kindle Customer: A good storyline that keeps you guessing about what traumatic events could the main character experience next...Can't wait to unveil V.

Avidreadersbc: This series should have been a duology. This entire book just streched the story like a rubber band with no new revelations until the very end.
But this storyline is soo confusing. This isn't an RH ( atleast as far as I know) but the FMC appears to be falling in love with three guys. One day she loves one of them more and it seems like finally she's making a choice then the next day she finds something to hate about him and prefers one of the other guys. It's confusing as heck. And the story is just going around in cycles. She's a rape survivor, has been in an abusive relationship forever and someone who's traumatically lost her baby, yet she's in physical relationships with three guys at the same time. I don't know it just feels weird and I feel like it's not something a traumatized person would do.
But the thing I really hate is how much she despises herself. She seems to think that every bad thing that's ever happened to her is her own fault ( it is to a certain extent..like when first Miles asked her, she hid the abuse and told him it's a nosebleed but certainly not all of it) keeps making decisions for others ( she thinks Miles deserves more than the broken girl...

Kindle Customer: I don't leave reviews normally, but this is more a warning. KU means you just loose time. Paying in cash... I know authors no doubt spill blood with their writing, but there are so many things wrong with these books. The first one was slightly fantastical but I wanted to know what happened. This one has veered into straight out silly. Yea it's a 'super hero' take, but there is a difference between fantasy and straight out silly. The main character is just not believe in terms of human behaviour and gets duller as the story goes on, the story lines are like roller coasters and up and down all over the place, i don't care about the characters at this point. And the repetition... oh my word. If all the repetition was removed it could have been done in one book. And it is not just character thoughts that repeat, it is actual phrases too. At one point I searched for one particular phrase and it occured nearly 20 times. The author gets a star because I want to know a couple of things - but not because of the gripping storyline but because I just hate not finishing books - no matter how cross they make me because they make me feel like I'm wasting my time (which this one is). These books...

christina: Forged in Flames was a little all over the place and so are my feelings. I didn't see as much, if any, growth with Summer/Sadie's character as I would have liked. And the story kind of dragged on for me.
We pick up with a truly heartbreaking flashback to a 16 year old Summer, that shows us what a true monster Don Roberts is. A small window into all the suffering she faced alone over the years.
When Summer wakes up in her dorm disoriented with no memory of how she got there, she realizes things are out of her hands and she needs help. The last thing she remembers is Joan holding her at gun point. She decides maybe the police can help her. She goes to a precinct and gives the short version to her story, only to be turned away. She does however learn, that Don actually legally adopted her, faked her death as Summer Brooks and changed her name to Sadie Davis. She has no choice but to rely on V, Eli and Liza to help her stay safe and figure out what Dons end game is.
Pros: we learn a little more about Summers past, besides the fact that she suffered abuse. Eli has gained her trust back and seems to be truly on her side. V is as amazing as always, but he's still hiding...
