Suzanne Reid: One of the BEST series I've ever read. Now awaiting delivery of book 26, 27 and 28.
They have everything, great characters, some sad moments but, some hilarious ones too.
Don't always like where the author is going with the story line, but hey, he knows best.
Can't wait for my next instalments.

wlb: I started reading this series several months back. I am 67 years old and got truly involved in reading this book and would recommend it to young readers in their teens and adults who like these type of stories. I agree with several that the book should be a movie someday. Being on limited income it has taken me over a year to buy the first 10 books in this series. I purchased the last two books several months ago as save up money as I can. Know I will want to read the next series Mr. Crane writes, The Girl Out of the Box know it will be excellent reading. As far as a few mistakes made in book, they are still good reading. We all make them so don't let that stop you from enjoying these amazing books. Good Reading to you all.

s.h2ocasa: Death, death and more deaths. Some characters we met in the past have returned in this book #9. Also we say goodbye to some metas, from the past, and get to know more about Sovereign and Weissman, leaders of the Century whose purpose is to murder all metas not part of their group. Sienna, the nineteen year old leader of the new Agency metas, has decided to go on the offense against this organization and delivers some damage. Revelation knowledge is given as to why Sienna had been marked as do not kill her or face the consequences. Could this be her Destiny? Ugh! As with the other books we have numerous fight scenes. Time is running out and we're getting close to the final book in this In The Box series.

This book is written more in the line of book #8...strategic planning, intermittent with battle scenes followed by some character's fate being told. Still had my attention, but now I'm anxious to see how this series ends. The pleasure one for me, in this book...Shinichi Akiyama and his saying, hakoiri musume! Tricia: I gave this book a 5 star rating cause it was the highest one allowed. I can not say enough good about this book as well as all the other books in the series. Mr. Crane does not disappoint. He has a very distinct way of writing that puts the reader in the story with the characters.
His attention to details allow you to imagine each and every scene in the book. You can see a clear picture of the surroundings, you can feel the temperature of the settings, and even imagine smelling where you are at. No other writer I have read can make a story come alive quite like Mr. Crane.
When reading this book as well as any of the others in this series, I get so engrossed, everything else takes a back seat. I have had many a sleepless nights due to reading his books.
Sienna is the main character in this book and she is an amazing woman. She starts out in book 1 as a teenage girl who is very unsure of herself and has evolved into a very strong woman and it is an amazing ride along the way watching her come in to herself as a confident and strong woman from her very sheltered beginnings.

P A Burton: I have just read all nine of - The girl in the Box - books in less than two weeks just could not put them down. I have to say I do read a lot, but I can't ever remember ever being so totally obsessed by a books characters Sienna mainly, although all the characters grab your imagination so much so you want to be in this story. It is so beautifully and cleverly written it has you guessing through every book until the end, although I didn't like the ending of book nine, it was so sad for Sienna I'm hoping Robert has a better ending for book ten because I've just leant he is to write another series of 'The Girl in the Box' which I honestly will not buy, if there is not some sort of hope, love or kindness in the end, because I don't think I would survive another series of books that I've been so obsessed with, that the story line is even on my mind when I'm not reading it.
That said if you haven't read this series- YOU REALLY MUST- Thank you Robert - the waiting for book 10 is agonizing

CHRISIE: In many ways I wish I discovered girl in the box now and not 18 months ago because I love to read a series straight off. This edition I read in 2 days and some pages I read twice because it was so fast moving in places I was scared I had missed some relevant detail. God I want to talk about the story but can't leave spoilers. What I can say to entice is Yep another close character bites the dust but won't say how or when.. For the romantics who have followed the series there is a bit of spice & romance that her first love does not appreciate. .There are twists that will get you rereading some previous books to refer.( wish the book was X-ray enabled would make that easier) the book leaves you wishing book ten was ready to realise. And finally do read the books in this series, it's a fantastic story that unfolds as your emotions are tested exposed and played with.... Roll on flipping book ten!!!
