Get your hands on the Philips Norelco Electric Shaver 5500 and experience the ultimate shaving experience!Dave: As with most Norelco Shavers I've had over the years, you can expect (and it delivers) a good, smooth clean shave. The heads are designed to fit the contours of your face without dragging, snagging or burning. It is easy to hold, although more than once I accidentally his the "off" button. The one feature I am not keen on is the removable trimmer; i.e., remove the cutting head to replace it with the trimmer, and back again. Experience suggests that may be a "break" waiting to happen. We'll see.

Victor Arias: Ligera, la batería dura mucho, las cabezas intercambiables son muy practicas pero las cabezas de presicion, no son lo que esperaba.

Luis: The Norelco 5500 is my first electric shaver and after my third use of it I picked up my own shaving technique which has resulted with a smooth and clean shave. One is instructed to use it in circular motions but by doing so on my first try it only took longer and the shave result was not very smooth. It all depends on ones facial shape to determine to either go up & down or left and right. The flexible head helps cut well around my jaws and high cheek bones and there's no need to press hard to shave. I dropped the expensive razor blades because of constantly getting small fine cuts and because they didn't last long. After 16 yrs. of their use I said that's enough and a friend recommended the Norelco electric 5500. Found this one here at a very good low price so I picked it up. I'm using twice a week and have recognized a little extra cash in my pocket because I dropped the blades.

Jesus Jacqaues Ayala: HASTA AHORITA HA SALIDO MUY BUENA, ME GUSTO. SOLAMENTE DIFICIL ENCONTRAR REFACCIONES PARA ELLA, YA QUE ES BUENO PREVENIR Y TENERLAS ANTES DE QUE PASE DE MODA Y SALGAN OTROS MODELOS.

B Kaufman: I always say that product reviews for things that are of a personal nature (i.e. care, clothing, shoes, etc) are subjective. Since our bodies and preferences are different, its very hard to say what works for me is going to work for someone else. So here are my "subjective" thoughts.
So, let me preface this review with the following:
1.) I prefer rotary shavers because I believe they work best for my face.
2.) I've used Norelco shavers for years. They seem to be fairly reliable and constructed pretty well.
I've looked at these types of models for years but couldn't bring myself to pay the steeper price as compared to Norelco's other standard shavers. While this model is still pretty steep in comparison, I finally decided to bite bullet and see if this design is any better than the old style shavers.
What I've found (for me):
Articulating heads - I have to say this was the most intriguing part of this shaver. I was curious as to how well this would work on my face. For me, around my neck (including Adam's apple) can be a challenge to get everything clean after several passes. It usually takes moving the shaver around in different directions and many...

myffit: I am 75 years young and my beard was getting harder and harder to shave until I tried this razor in the wet mode - WOW - what a difference! I am using Neutrogena's Shave Cream for sensitive skin and let me tell you it's the most comfortable shave I've ever had. The process is a little messy, but the results are well worth the effort. I wet my face, apply the shave cream, and I apply hot water to the shaver head as needed. The razor is very easy to clean. I rinse and dry my face. Done! My facial skin is no longer dried out and I get an excellent shave. I actually look forward to shaving!
