Braun Series 9 Pro 9465cc Electric Foil Razor for Men - Wet & Dry Shaving

Steve P: I've been using Braun Shaver for years and have needed repair a couple of times and have been amazed by their service department each time. For the most part I've had little trouble with any of the shavers but this time it seemed to be stopping from maybe a thermal fuse or something. Anyway, the story is about the service department. All you do is fill out an online form and print out the form along with the Free UPS shipment label and send the shaver in. Each time I've done this I get a message two days later saying they have received the shaver, another message saying the shaver has been repaired which is followed by a third message saying the shaver is on its way back to me. All in the same day! This is the west coast service center actually run by Hardisty's Homewares in Santa Rosa, CA. Hard to find service like this these days

Mark G.: I have used rotary electric razors since I started shaving. They have all performed reasonably well but often I would have to take a final pass with a regular razor to get hairs the razors missed. I had been reading the reviews for the Braun Electric Razor for Men, Waterproof Foil Shaver, Series 9 Pro 9477cc. The hefty price kept me from immediately pulling the trigger. Now that I have, its is hands down the best electric razor I have ever used. Generally takes one pass to clear all the whiskers, short, long, in between. I shave my head and chest. The shave is as good if not better than a regular razor. I am impressed... very impressed.

The retailer had ZERO interest in the matter making further purchases when seeing their name a definite NO! Mercury Shaving Centre saved the day and deserve accolades of appreciation.

Amazon Customer: do not like the beard trimmer. Its location is not good, have to turn the razor around to get at it.
Does not trim very good. The series 7 Braun trimmer was so great, don't know why they changed it.
Other than that, it works fine, not any better than my series 7 though.

Carlos: I've had a Series 700 Braun for YEARS! These things seem indestructible. My 700 Braun was pretty much as good as new but Amazon Days prompted me to buy the Braun 900 Pro at a very good discount. With a different shaving head, the 900 Pro definitely shaves closer/better. And it has other bells and whistles. I didn't give them 5 stars because they really screwed up on the instruction manual...it's not in English (or any other language)...it's all symbols AND THE SYMBOLOGY IS NOT SO EASY TO INTERPRET (even after looking them over several times). They also don't explain why you have to "lock" it to put it in travel mode (???). All this is a shame because it is a great shaver!

Scott, man. Am I right?!: OVERVIEW
This razor is truly the Rolls Royce of electric, wet/dry razors, and if it isn't, it'll do until the next shaving marvel comes to Amazon. The speed and smoothness with which the blades cut is impressive, wet and dry.

SHORTER HAIR
With shorter beard/mustache hair, there is literally no tugging, and it glides like warm butter over your face. And I could not find pesky hangers-on after a shave.

LONGER HAIR
With longer hair, there is some minor pulling under the chin and front of the neck, I've found, in the up direction, but in the down not at all. The problem is that in order to get the longer hairs off your neck and chin, one must move against them, and not with them, to cut them. This does create some painful pulling now and then. But this is more a cautionary note, than a critique. Don't let your beard/mustache get too long and this razor is silky across your face. Also with longer hair, I do notice that I need to come at some lingering hairs from every imaginary geometry/angle. But again, that's more a common characteristic of electric razors cutting longer hair, more than it is a failure of this particular product.
