Mark: So far I love this shaver. Only regret is I wish I bought the cleaning station with it.

AH: Great shaver but the power button has come loose after a couple years of use. I’ve had a few Braun shavers before so I’m disappointed that this highest series shaver is the only one that has had a quality issue.

Dunany: This brand has been getting progressively worse over the years.
It shaves OK...but just OK. It doesn't seem like putting more blades in the razor did anything for it except increase the price. But that is just a preference issue, not necessarily a quality issue.

For years I used a model 5 and was very happy with it. But, eventually the battery wore out and I treated myself to a Model 7. Worst mistake I could have made. The shave was not as close, but that was only secondary to the overall quality. They don't make plastic like they used to! After about a year the shave head broke off...not the replaceable foil and cutter, but the part that holds them to the shaver. Fortunately for Braun, the warranty had just expired and it was going to be so expensive to fix that a new razor was the best option.

So I bought the Model 9, complete with a tremendously inflated price. For a year now it has been just okay, nothing special, but it did shave. It came with a two year warranty. Good luck with that. Recently the on/off button popped off while it was charging one night. I didn't drop it, I have always treated it kindly...it just came off while sitting in the charger...

Hitman777: Ok, so I have had a lot of earlier experience years ago with electric razors and found the experience very unsatisfying! I was prone to getting razor burn that was so common back in the day... my earliest experience was mostly on very early models I tried borrowing them from my dad, and then years later using various Norelcos...
I gave up due to unsatisfying results, razor burn etc...
I've always been an every other day shaver and for many of shaving years used blades. I remember liking the early Bic disposables a lot! Then later, when Gillette came out with the tri-blade fusions, I was sold... never looked back and have shaved that way for several years... so seeing a Braun unboxing video one day on youtube and being bored, i checked it out and loved the look of the Braun design and the cleaner/charger... I thought; Wow this looks like its come a LONG way... but I was skeptical... I started watching videos and comparing different models, everyone seemed to have their favorites and it came down to probably three names...
I read reviews and kind of determined you likely would not go wrong with either of the top three, but it then would come down to design and...

I love Braun so much that I bought 3 of this Series 9 (9330s) and am taking time to write this for you. I'm upgrading from Series 7 (720s) because the replacement head has become dull and its more economically sound for me to get a new one than to change the head. I'm so happy that I bought 3: 1 for myself, 1 for my cousin and in a separate order, another one for a friend of mine. There are 3 main improvements:
1- Heat dissipation, which Series 9 is really less warmer than series 7 and
2- the charging stand which makes it even lovelier and
3- the larger head which will collect more hair inside throws less to the sink. Other than that, both of them are amazing machine in therms of battery, motor and close shave. You can see my review for Series 7 which I did in 2015. In addition, you can use this 9330s dry/wet with foam, but I don't. I also don't like the cleaning station as I consider it to be not necessary. I wash the whole thing after 2 cycles of battery drains, once every 3 months. Of course my new one has sharper blade than my 6-year-old Series 7. I shave 2 times per week and each time it takes 6-7...

O. M.: Over the course of the last two months I tried multiple high end shavers (with cleaning stations) over time, to try and see which offers the best shaving and user experience.

TL;DR:
---------
After trying top of the line wet & dry from Braun (both 7 & 9) and Panasonic (Arc 5 - LV9N model) - I ended up keeping both the Braun series 7 and the Panasonic Arc 5. In my testing, the Arc 5 offers the best shaving, even if marginally so, and I prefer it as my everyday shaver. However, the Braun 7 comes close, and it is more compact, thus making it my travel choice, and why I ended keeping both. Braun 7 also offers best value for money. The Braun 9, in my opinion, offers no real advantage over the Braun 7, yet costs more and is bigger.

--------------
After reading plenty of reviews online - it appears that unlike many other types of products, there is no one answer here. Each shaver has different design and therefore works better on specific types of faces. So what works best for me may not work best for you and vice versa. This is why I ended up buying and trying few of these products…

Having said that… review in depth:
