icartmanxx: Purchased to replace a previouse Panasonic shaver that needed blade repleacement. I loved the old one but this one with five blades shaves so much closer. Have been using it a year and battery life is still great and blades are still sharp. I clean it once a week and use blade oil to ensure everything is running smoothly. Would highly recommend this shaver...worth every penny.

Christopher Capasso: I haven’t used an electric shaver in 20+ years but did try because my skin is so sensitive I would get ingrown hairs all the time. Back then the shaver was actually painful to use so I gave up. I have been using a bowl and brush with a DE safety razor since then. While I get very good results and little irritation I just sucked it up and stuck with it.
I am someone that likes to be baby smooth all the time. I have very fair skin and dark hair so my 5:00 shadow starts at 11am, lol! But because of my sensitivity I could only shave every other day MAX without ripping apart my face. It was effective but very time consuming and YouTube suggested a shaver video for me which lead me down the rabbit hole!
I did a lot of research and almost bought the Braun 9 series but saw this one was a closer shave that was still comfortable.
I did my first shave with 2 days growth and was blown away! ZERO irritation and very quick! While the closeness is not the same as shaving against the grain with my safety razor it’s literally almost identical but with no irritation!
I can now maintain smooth, stubble free skin daily for about 4 minutes of time which means a lot to...

Mario GomesMario Gomes: READ BELOW FOR AN UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW!
The item description says new and I am hoping this is the case. When the package came there was evidence pointing otherwise. Even though it's shipped within a protective shipping box, the original shaver box was already dented from previous handling. It was also opened and closed taped and re-taped a couple of times. This is evident with the original box writing pulled away from removing the original tape. I opened the box and to my relief everything looked new. Another disappointment was no cleaning packets. You can say hey, it was not included in the deal and yet inside the box was the separate leaflet instructions that originally comes with the box of cleaning solution packets 15ml x 3. Only problem is the packets box was nowhere to be found in the razor box. Now why would the instructions for these cleaning packets be there if the box they originally came in it was not? Very odd! I know the set from Panasonic set comes with packet detergent. How else can you use the cleaning station? Besides these minor concerns the razor look legit and everything looks new. I'm hoping it will last like a new one. I successfully registered it...

L: So for historical context, I've owned 2 Panasonic ES LA93-K's over about the last 10 years. Before that I owned an old Braun. I've always used electric shavers. I did a lot of research before buying the 93's and they were a top rated shaver. The only problem I had with them was the battery would die and not charge. Last one lasted 4 1/2 years. They were always like shaving with a Lexus - high quality shavers. Before I bought the last one I tried the venerable Braun Series 7 7865 and the then newest iteration of Norelco. Neither one was as good as my first 93 so I bought another 93. I always liked them but I can't say I was happy with battery life. Shaves were always close the first 6 months to maybe even a year, but the blades do dull and it took longer and more work to get a close shave. Also, they got progressively louder as they aged to the point where it was very annoying. But they worked. This time out I decided to revisit the world of shaver reviews just to see if there were any new improved entries. I have to heartily recommend shavercheck.com. A really excellent site! I sort of was hoping that either Braun or Norelco had something that had lept ahead of the pack. Yes -...

Thomas H.: This shaver far exceeds my expectations. I bought it to replace my excellent but lost 10-year old Panasonic shaver. I cannot compare it to its main rival, the Braun 7- and 9-series, but its performance outpaces that of my old one by a significant margin.
From my very short experience with it, I see the following pros:
* Remarkably close shave. Unlike in the past, I cannot feel any stubbles even when I feel my skin against the grain while pressing down
* Virtually no pulling of my hairs. Because my old shaver got lost, my beard had grown to about 3 mm. Shaving this would have been fairly unpleasant before. Yes, there was an occasional tug, but it was rare and minor
* Fewer passes. Each pass was much more effective, often producing a velvety surface after only two times despite heavy growth. I expect this to be even better with daily use
* Much better in areas with changes in hair direction. Unlike with my previous shaver, I didn't have to worry much about hitting the exact right direction. It did very well in areas that previously were notoriously difficult and often produced unsatisfactory results
* A sharp trimmer. The mechanism is identical to my old...

Liu MinLiu Min: A photo is more than thousand words. See my selfie after 1st shaving from this shaver. It’s better than all the shavers i had used, range from Philips, Braun, Xiaomi.
The charger is old school thing, not USB-C. it’s universal voltage 110-240.
Highly recommended.
