Braun Series 9 9293s Electric Shaver for Men - A Close and Comfortable Shave Every Time

Douglas Lee: Best electric razor you can buy. I had several Panasonic top of the line razors and was happy with them. They lasted about 2 years and I had to replace the head once in the 2 years. The Panasonic heads foil wears through from use. I was told about the Braun razor and was skeptical but decided to try it. Was not totally convinced right away, shaves were about the same. The real differences came as I used it more and more. The charge last about 8 days and I have pretty heavy growth. The Panasonic would last 5 days and after a year and a half it would start to degrade. I am at 3 years with the same Braun and still get 7 / 8 days from each charge.
I also had an issue with water getting into the Braun case in year 2. Long after the warranty. I called and sent it to be repaired and it took a few weeks but was sent back at no charge and has been fine since. Great when the manufacturer stands behind a product even after the warranty is past.

I am a true convert and purchased another for my son to take to college last year. His is now a year old and works perfectly even with dorm life..

Kingopain: I bought this razor because I've been looking for an electric option that can handle thick stubble. It can give a good, close shave and doesn't cause any irritation (most cheaper ones do), it took far too long to get a clean shave, or would have needed cleanup with a blade afterwards. For the price, I wasn't impressed, so it went back.

I ended up getting a Series 8 (only sold at Costco as far as I can tell), which does just as good of a job, faster and for a cheaper price. The big difference is the number of blades; because the Series 8 has fewer, it has a smaller, more maneuverable head, which allows you to get into hard to reach places more easily. The Series 9 was a bit too awkward and bulky, which I think is what slowed me down. The only thing I prefer about the Series 9 was the case, which was a nice hard-shell with a ventilation hole. The Series 8 also has a hard-shell case, but it doesn't have a vent hole and is covered in fabric, which could get funky over time.

Ray Samson: Is smooth. Effective. Battery lasts. Well designed. You can save a bundle by ordering only the shaver without accompanying dip and clean charge unit. I compared it to the Philishave rotary. Better, closer, smoother shaving machine. Well engineered. Apparatus appears to have quality materials. I'll know better after a few years. Now it's just a couple of months old.

Ash Golizeh: There's no doubt that Series 9 is based on customers needs and their feedback. The pivoting head and floating grills, wet and dry shaving capabilities, and the head/power lock features give you a smooth and comfortable shave. Battery life is great and it charges pretty fast. The look and the material of this shaver emphasizes on its premium design, however, the shiny chrome surface attracts fingerprints. It's fast and reliable and the results are satisfying. No ingrown hair and no razor burn, redness or irritation on my sensitive skin.

Ancramdale: Just after writing first review one of the charging connectors in the base of the handle broke off, badly corroded. I was not initially sure why. I tried to dry the shaver before charging, but somehow enough water remained in the machine and dribbbled down into the tiny cavities in the charging base, overflowing to create a short. After 8 months one electrode became corroded and simply fell off. I should have caught this danger sooner.

I find I have to shave at least twice a day to maintain good comfort. Within just a few weeks of use the blades when handling longer hairs started painful hair pulling, no fun. On the other hand, after 6 months the cutters are still working fine on very short hairs. The water-proofing is hugely helpful. First, with some some tough hairs, say under the chin, this machine cuts much better/closer when the blades are wet. Second, you can take the blade apart to clean under running water and even turn the machine on to shake off tough residue. The main problem for users like me is the over-hype in ads showing the blades cutting through fairly long beard edges and the like. That capability may work for some folks for some period...

Rafael Sprouse: Best machine in the market for personal use but also for industrial purposes. I’m a full time Barber and I use this machine many times. This is actually my second generation I had before the 7 series now I have this amazing 9 series that make every haircut and every shave real easy. Not hard on the skin at all, easy to use, easy to clean, also it makes the job at lot faster and easier. It happens that more and more customers end up getting this machine after I use it on them. I love this product not matter the price. Trust me when I tell you “Best machine in the market”. I been using this type of machines (talking about shavers in general) for a amount of 20 years and this is the best one I ever seen. The only problem they normally have is that after 2 years of use the power button falls down. It happen to the 7 series also to a 6 series my friend has but also to another 7 series another co worker has. It hasn't happened yet to my 9 series and I’m Down to 4 month of use. I think this is the only negative of this machine but anything else: durability, life span, efficiency, power, smoothness, elegance, charge I think is 100% . I highly recommend this...

PACO: Por muchas décadas he usado las rasuradoras Braun con excelentes resultados y he constatado su evolución técnica. Esta última versión, SERIE 9 es sencillamente increíble, la velocidad de oscilación hace que el rasurado sea mucho más rápidp y acorta el tiempo de rasurado, y con la ventaja que no tiene que estar la barba seca. No deja ningún pelo a su paso sea cual sea su largo. La recomiendo mucho pues vale lo que cuesta. Gracias Amazon por tener productos de alta calidad.

Max V: I have been a traditional and rotary shaver since day one. I tried a cheap foil shaver once and it nicked my neck many times and pulled all over my face. After reading countless reviews, I took the plunge with this expensive foil shaver. I also decided to go with the new series (gold blades) instead of the old 9 series (blue blades). I didnt want an older version to skew my idea of this shaver. I also didnt buy the cleaning station because I take great care of my electronic shavers.
So arrived and packaing was a nice presentation and overall very luxurious unboxing. Not that a box will affect performance, but nice to see the extra little touches that come with a premium like this.
I tried the shaver on face first. Off the bat I was not pleased. It required me to do multiple passes and it seemed like it was tugging on my hairs. Not pulling but just small pinches. I tried on the neck and that was a disaster. Marks and pulls and major razor rash. I figured since my skin is very sensitive to electric shavers on neck area.
