CC: I do not like to think of myself as “handicapped” so when it came time to have a shower chair, I wanted some thing that didn’t remind me of my limitations. This chair is perfect. It is very sturdy and well constructed. In addition, it is beautifully finished… and looks like it belong in a high-end resort spa.

me: The teak shower bench is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I had a burst fracture of my L5 and had to have spinal fusion to fuse L3 - S2. The injury resulted in nerve damage which requires me to use a walker until it heals. This is estimated to take about a year. I have been using a shower chair. I waited a couple of months to purchase the bench thinking it would be tougher to get in and out of, but the exact opposite is true. The bench is actually easier and is so much more comfortable than the plastic shower chair. Now instead of feeling like an invalid every time I shower, I feel like I am at the spa. The bench is also beautiful and appears to be very well made. Additional deciding factors than made me purchase this particular bench include the ability to adjust the legs (our shower floor is a little uneven) and the lack of hardware in the assembly. I look forward to years of enjoyment of this bench.
