EcoDecors Serenity Shower Stool: A Luxurious Seating Solution for Your Bathroom

arizona golfer: I have owned two of these for 6 1/2 years now. With daily shower duty, for the first 5 years we dried after each shower, and the wood stayed perfect. Then I got old, fat, and lazy, and just left them undried for the last couple of years. A slight white residue is apparent where water stayed on top, but nothing functional. I used teak oil, which didn't remove white stuff, but wood is still solid and beautiful. I could probably get them back to new, but remember, I'm old, fat, and lazy, so I'll just enjoy them as they are. Will probably outlast me.

YarkoYarko: Packaging was impressive.

Important point for assembly:
- everything is a tight (good) fit… don’t struggle
w/ the allen wrench provided. Do yourself a favor - buy or borrow a 4mm allen socket and get a ratchet. Things will go quick & easy then (your biggest concern not to over-tighten at the end - just put your fingers on the wrench at a point about the length of the provided hand wrench, and all will be good).
- don’t assume interchangeability: this seems / feels / looks hand made
- start w/ the middle screw on the legs; I had to change which was on which side before the screws would grasp (and align with the hole - just like a hand made piece!)
- same with the shelf: rotation matters: just barely start one screw on a side; if the 2nd screw doesn’t match the other hole in the shelf, simple turn the shelf 180 degrees: bingo! It all aligns now (just like a hand made piece)!

The assembled piece is as solid as stone, hefty, stable, sturdy… I’m very impressed. Enough I’ve started looking at their bathroom vanities.

Adjustable feet didn’t need any adjusting inside out tub - flat and stable.

E. Gilbert Deffenbaugh: I honestly had limited expectations for this piece, but I am blown away by the beauty of the wood, the graceful design, and the sturdiness. I took a chance and purchased Used-Like New from the warehouse, but even at full price, it's worth every penny. My husband said it was very easy to assemble. I have a custom teak table made with wood that isn't as nice looking as the wood in this stool.

The Indra: When I received this stool I was surprised by how heavy the box was. Teak is a very dense wood I guess. I put it together and the instructions were easy. The stool is absolutely beautiful, solid, and waterproof. I've had it in my shower and it gets wet daily. It's virtually unchanged. I did get the cleaner and the oil they suggested and will condition it about every 30 days. I'm shocked by how gorgeous this stool is and how affordable it is. It's the first time I've ever purchased something teak and it did not disappoint. I love it.

JohnJohn: For the price, it's well worth it. By far better than the plastic, aluminum leg type. This stool is solid as a rock. They don't really give a good idea of measurements, but as you can see in my picture, it easily fits in an average tub. Also it is a good height, a couple of inches taller than a toilet seat. It's also nice looking, not like a geriatric stool. It's far better than the cheap made in China look-a-like. You get what you pay for, and this is well worth the money. Also you can add many more different kinds like it from their selection. Cons? there are a couple to think about, before you buy. It does weigh a bit, about 10 pounds. Moving it might be a problem for a disabled person. Assembly, requires a bit of work. I used my Dewalt power tool, and was fine. The small Alan wrench they include would not work very well if at all. Get a handy man to assemble it if you are not so equipped. In the end I can say it holds my weight: 240 Lb effortlessly, is solid as a rock. No wobble, no slipping, easy to get up off of, and comfort is good.

Double D: Bought one of these in May of 2022, and was thrilled with it, it's the correct height if someone has hip, or mobility issues, and also because it arrived FULLY ASSEMBLED as advertised.
Fast forward a couple of months, and we ordered another unit after our second bathroom was retrofitted to a walk in shower stall. This one arrived *needing assembly*. Some of the holes and screws were mildly out of alignment, and it was disappointing that the product description wasn't updated accordingly, although if I had of read the recent reviews I would have noticed that assembly was now required. I figured since I was re-ordering something I had already purchased.. I would get the same thing.
Otherwise the stool is as described, a very solid and weighty unit. So.. 4 stars, not 5.

Bryce: This stool is a quality product and it looks nice too.
The only reason it lost a star was because it claims to be fully assembled when it came flat-packed.

Was really looking forward to not turning Allen keys, not a huge deal but still not as advertised and 30-minutes I'll never get back.

Mark and JulieMark and Julie: One small caveat: the description says the item comes assembled. That is not true. Not a big deal but be aware you will need to put it together. Assembly is fairly easy, but you may have trouble doing it if you have issues with arthritis, etc.

The stool itself is very solid. It's quite HEAVY, so be aware of that too. May want to consider a plastic stool if weight is an issue for you.

Amazon Customer: It’s very well constructed but regardless of how it’s advertised there is some easy assembly required with included hardware. It’s very heavy/sturdy and the pictures are accurate so if you like that look you’ll like this item. I’m over 200lbs and it supports my weight with ease. I’m very pleased with it and imagine it could serve beyond my expiration date. As far as price, who can tell what anything is worth with this inflation. Again I’m very happy with what was in the box.
