Medline Shower Chair: Comfortable Bath Seat with Padded Armrests and Back Support

JBY: I recently had ankle surgery & will be non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. This chair is perfect for the shower. It was easy to put together & sturdy. I almost bought one without arms, but I am so happy I didn’t. I needed to use the arms to sit down and push myself to stand up. I was concerned the chair might slip when I was trying to get up, but it remained in place. I like how you can adjust the height of the chair which is another important feature when you’re non-weight bearing. Overall, this is a great shower chair.

Tulip: I cannot say that this chair is particularly attractive, but it is extremely functional especially if you have had recent surgery or are incapacitated in anyway. I did not need it for a long period of time after my surgery, and it was very easy to take apart to store in the original box if I should need it again.

Gary Collamer: This unit was easy to assemble, worked great as designed for taking a shower. Using one in the nursing home without Arm Rest and Seat Back this product was far superior in that this product had handrails for assist in standing up and a seat back that was sturdy to allow you to lean back against the back rest. Without fear of falling. You also should have installed in your shower hand rails to assist in getting in and out of the chair. These rails have to be installed in a Stud. So, there are no issues, you should have them installed by a professional. If you miss the stud and they pull out from a safety point your fall could be very devestating since you are already trying to recover from Stroke or other injury.

Dee: It's perfect! Fits perfectly in the tub. its very sturdy and comfortable for Mom. I am comforted when she's taking a shower now. She's comfortable, safe and no longer afraid of falls. Its a very nice chair. So easy peasy to put together.

Robert Luyando: This review will help instruct those who may have concerns about its assembly. I'll provide tips, safety concerns, and my overall opinion of the "Guardian" model Bath Bench with Back and Arms (made by Medline). Plus advice on purchasing a bath Bench at the end of the review.

Assembly is Quick and Simple (though the assembly instructions should be better detailed). The nut screws are all "hand twist knobs" so they're safe to put together. No tools are required. Warning: The Bolts are not all the same size.
[Remember... Match the "A" portion of the leg to the "A" portion on the seat. Same with the "B" Portion of The leg, to the B on the seat. Use the correct size bolt (All knob nuts fit all the bolts provided). [Careful not to misplace/lose a curved little black metal piece ("nickel size") with a hole in the middle.] The legs cross in an "X" manner and that small piece (I mentioned) will structurally make the bench stronger.]
Upon completing your assembly you'll notice the legs are not 100% flush/flat to the ground (though not by much... Not a big issue). The arm assistance bars (on the sides) appear a bit weak and shaky. These (arm) bars are held together by a THIN...

Edgar Omar: La silla tiene una excelente constitución, es muy maciza y se mueve muy poco. La usa una persona con sobrepeso y la silla apenas si se balancea. Igualmente los reposa brazos ayudan a personas con movilidad limitada para poder ser más independientes al momento de bañarse.

AngyAngy: El empaque llegó muy bien, en el tiempo estimado y en buenas condiciones. Los materiales no se sienten de tan buena calidad y el tiempo dirá qué tan resistentes son. Las instrucciones de armado son claras y las piezas están completas. Lamentablemente mi unidad llegó con un apoyabrazos de una medida que no corresponde.
