Excellent heater. You should be able to disregard most of the negative reviews here. Mine works well and keeps my 29 gallon between 75-82 degrees depending on how far I adjust the dial.
Quick tip: Position it near your filter intake (or outflow) to maximize circulation so that it keeps the temperature as stable as possible in all areas of the tank.
I haven’t had any issues with this heater.

fishface: This is a very nice heater. It is fully adjustable and has a temp range right on the heater. As a long time tropical fish owner this is my favorite heater. Works great

Mark: Does an awesome job heating my 29 gallon freshwater tank. Great price compared to other brands. Going on about 5 months of use and still going good.

Vladimir: I liked this heater so much that after i bought the first one for my 3.7 gallon Imagitarium tank, i bought one for a 2.5 gallon tank. It's a short heater so it fits perfectly. I recommend to setup your tank with this before adding fish or shrimp as it may take a day or two to reach the desired temperature. It does not have temp settings, just a + and - on the dial. It has a neon light that goes on when the heater is heating so it does maintain a temperature.. Note that the tank temp is relative to the room temp in a small tank with this heater. I noticed on cold days the room temp was about about 67 the temp in the aquarium was at 72, but on a few warm sunny days when the room got warmer, the tank temp went up to 76, so I'm not sure what the dial does. My suspicions are that this does not work like a heater with a set temp dial on it. I like it. I check the temperature in the tanks daily, and I'm sure as it gets warmer outside, I'll have to cut back on the heater setting.

Kat: My heater is 2 degrees lower than what I dial in. I wanted it at 72, but had to set it to 74. The temperature keeps fluctuating a bit, but I mean it's definitely better than the preset heater I had before. It's an upgrade at an affordable price.
