Buyer: I am using it in a half-filled 20-gal tank. Pretty accurate temperature-wise - maybe +/- 1 degree Celsius.
A minor problem (at least for me) is that it refuses to stick to the side of the tank - nothing that a well-placed rock can't keep in place though.

Tinker: The control switch is very stiff, hard to use, and the heater itself doesn't seem to stabilize the temperature, I had it set at 80 which seemed fine for about a week, but then out of the blue it dropped to 76, way too low for my fish, I raised it to around 84 to compensate but it jumped to 86, I lowered it to 82 and its now been settling around 80 for the past few days.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I looked through SO many different heaters here on Amazon, reading as many reviews as possible to try and find the best option for me (looking for a new heater for my betta's 10 gallon, as the old one stopped working after a few months...old one was also really inconsistent and cheapo feeling even before it broke). Is it just me, or does apparently every single heater ever made have just completely mixed reviews, and an alarming amount of 1 star reviews saying "this killed my fish, worst product ever" etc. mixed in with a bunch of good reviews!!? I was starting to lose hope, because I didn't want to risk killing my fish at all. I was starting to think maybe every heater out there sucks and you just gotta pick the least bad option. Lol.

Then, I came across this one. I really just picked it because I didn't see any horrible reviews saying it would kill your fish, lol. This appeared to be the only decent option out there. I bought the 50W for my 10 gallon tank.
I am super satisfied with my purchase. I have only had it for 2 weeks, so cannot speak for longevity of the product itself, but it has worked consistently since I got it. Seems sturdy and well made, attaches very...

a consumaaaaaa consumaaaaa: The media could not be loaded.  review:
great filter , i have a (i believe to be) 20 gallon tank. not filled all the way up either, but to what it is filled, this heater keeps it in good temperature, i have my AC on and fan on blast and it can get really chilly in my room, no worries for my turtles, i touched the water with my hand and it’s definitely not cold, just about the temperature i set it (warm) i don’t have a thermometer or some accurate form of temperature measurement to see if it is the EXACT set temperature that i put on the filter, but it does keep it warm. while i was waiting on this filter to arrive the water was pretty cold, AC and fan didn’t help, but now i can be at peace knowing i’m cold in my room but my turtles have tropical weather in their tank 😃 , some things to note, i was looking for a heater and while most heaters are the same (maybe not the same same, but they look the same at least), this one is good for turtles and similar animals like this because they can’t break it or bite at the glass , this filter is enclosed in a plastic container so no worries about your sea creature attacking the filter and chewing glass afterwards or...

YMancinoYMancino: Ok this heater is a pain to get it to suction. Mind you it may suction better if you install it when you are first setting up your tank before adding the water. Getting it to suction with everything already in place is gonna cause you some headache. The description says it is for 5-10 gallons, I have a 5 gallon tank and it will not fit upright. It says the entire uuit must be submerged, you can't do that in a 5 gallon tank, so I had to place it laying down at the bottom. This is one way it says you can install it, but it would make it so much easier to read and adjust if it fit upright. Now onto the temperature control, the ideal temp for a betta is 78°-80° I set the temp to 79° degrees thinking it would be perfect. NOPE! About an hour later I check and the temperature in the tank is 82°. While that isn't bad it's not the temp I had set it too. It's been a week and I am still adjusting the heater temp. I put it at 76° and it'll go to 79° but at night it will drop to 77°. I've changed it to 76.5° and it seems to be holding stable. Oh and the temperature idicater sticker is useless. Tank thermometers are inaccurate. The one thing I've found to work at getting the exact temp...
