Steven Rodas: So I've used several electric shavers now ranging from lower end Philips, Panasonic, and brauns. Let me tell you right now this one is the best overall and the best value in my opinion here's why.

Pros:
Close shave (if you know what your doing)
Quiet (Relative to other electrics)
Ergonomic
Easy to clean
Comfortable (the best by far)

Cons:
Pricey
Multiple swipes
Learing curve
No cleaning station
No charging base

If you don't know how to use this device and are new electric shaving this device may not provide a close shave, it will likely take several swipes and alterations to technique but once you figure out how to use it it's a equally close shave to razors and far more comfortable.

P.S: don't bother with lower end electric shavers of any brand. You will be disappointed unless you don't value a close shave and have robust skin you will likely through them out after being disappointed.

Amazon Customer: I am closing in on 80 years of age and over the nearly 7 decades of shaving, I have tried pretty much all blade razors and many electric razors. Until this razor, all electric razors either caused ingrown hairs, left too much stubble, or missed areas that were difficult to shave. My most recent was the Braun series 9. A good razor, but it left stubble and caused skin irritation. On occasion, it caused ingrown hairs. The S9000 Prestige gives me a relatively close shave. Not a blade close shave. But a very acceptable, smooth shave. There is no skin irritation. There are no ingrown hairs. There are no missed stubble areas. The three floating blades work extremely well to give me a complete shave. Shave time is less than using a blade and far less messy. Cleaning the S9000 Prestige is very easy. I do not use it in the shower. I shave dry with no skin additives. After two weeks of using this razor, I threw away all of my blade razors. My model did not come with the Qi charging pad. I prefer the plug in charging cable and it doesn’t disappoint. This razor comes with a nice protective carrying case. Lastly, this shaver muscles through several days growth with ease.

Amazon Customer: The shaver heads work well and they are OEM. I thought it was the heads and the part that it snaps into but it's the heads and assembly . Typical Phillips / Norelco the parts are so expensive .

D_ElH: I waited a long time to try this shaver. It's expensive and I already had a Panasonic Arc 5, which was supposed to be the best shaver out there. The Panasonic was OK, but irritatingly loud. It sounded like you were shaving next to a hornet's nest. The shave was close enough but required more than a few passes.

So, I thought the Norelco was worth a try. It arrived; just the shaver, a charging cord, and a plastic case. But when you open the box, you find a swoopy, 1950's outerspace design, far cooler than the Panasonic. The rounded shape felt easy in the hand, and the heads are the usually floaty Norelco goodness.

But the first thing I thought after turning it on was "is that IT?" It was so quiet that I loved it already. I'd never heard a shaver that quiet. Just a whisper whoosh and pleasant to hear.

I've used it "dry" outside of a shower. It floats and glides and gives an amazingly close and comfortable shave in under a minute. Closer than any Norelco I remember using and closer than the Panasonic in fewer passes. Just no beard left after you're done. And it cleans easily by flipping off the cap and brushing or washing out the blade area.

Amazonian: I've used Braun and Panasonic foil razors since I started shaving as a teen. They'd work well on my face but were terrible on my neck. I'd always have to do a final touch up with a manual razor. Also, I had issues with ingrown hairs and acne after shaving with foil and manual razors. Lately, I was getting ingrown hairs after every shave so I got fed up and decided to try Norelco. I've used it for a month and so far it's been a game changer. It gives a really close shave for the entire face and neck without the irritation. Just make sure you go slowly and in circular motions. You don't need to apply too much pressure. But I've found that I need to go over the same spot a few times before it catches all the hairs in that area. The only issue I have now is touching up near the side burns but it does come with an attachment for that. I prefer to shave while showering so I mostly use it as a wet shaver. It does a great job, but it's also decent at dry shaving. I love how quiet the razor is, but I'm sure the newer foil razors have improved on that too. You don't need the cleaning attachment unless you want your razor to smell like cologne. It's super easy to clean. Just pop the razor...
