Joy Crane: I feel safe on this stool. It is strong and well built. I use inside the bath tub, I make sure the feet are resting flat and not on the curved edges, which I am sure give a more solid and safe experience.
I have used and broken 3 of the so called heavy duty shower chairs made by Carex. This chair is very much stronger metal tubing.
Some mentioned screws rusting.
I Haven't had any rust problems so far.

TStech: I’ve purchased this chair in the past and found it durable and secure feeling. That’s the critical thing for me, with bad knees and more I need to be sure that I can not only sit securely, but get back up from a taller seat. Fairly easy to put together, and it should only take you 10-15 minutes. Tools are included, as is the hardware as you’d expect.

Rex: I believe/hope the cross braces will help this seat from failing. I do like that the legs are straight down versus angled outwards. That should help strengthen the seat. Clearly the majority of these seats are not truly tested for their weight class. The bench I had failed, so I kept the white plastic seat... in case this gray seat splits or has bolts poking thru as other reviewers found (though I used a shorter bolt)... tbd.

VLM123: I bought this bench because I am dealing with some energy/balance issues, so I need to occasionally sit down. I am also over 300 pounds so needed something sturdy that would hold me securely as I sat down in the shower. I have had this for over a month, now, and it works very well for what I need. Assembly was easy enough, and it's neither too big nor too small for my shower stall, easy to move around and clean. It hasn't buckled or rusted, thus far, so I think I'll have it for a long time.

Susanne P.: I was sent home from the hospital with a shower bench that fit over the side of the tub. Now I am stronger I decided to 'graduate' to a bench that is inside the tub but sturdy enough for my 250 lb self. This is perfect, very simple to assemble by myself and very sturdy. I step in using a grab bar and sit if needed. Seat is comfortable, surprisingly lightweight and easy to lift out to clean the tub. Excellent price and product.

Jeffrey BowersJeffrey Bowers: First one was missing a few of the little leg screws but amazon sent me a replacement of this shower chair. I love it. The flimsy legs on other chairs kept bending on me even tho i was under the weight limit. (33,m,250#) i need something sturdy while i heal my ankle from breaking. It takes 10 min to set up. Its so sturdy. Highly recommend this shower chair

T: This is very sturdy and supposedly holds up to 550lbs. The chair itself can be a bit slippery so just get up and sit down carefully. The legs are firm and sturdy so you don't have to worry about that. Highly recommend. Easy to install too. So long as you tighten properly, you shouldn't have any issues. I have weak wrists and was able to accomplish this without aide. Just check the images on the listing to ensure everything is installed well.
