Sharon Maetzold: This was a great purchase! It's very sturdy. I selected this model because of the reviews and weight limits. The ONLY negative would be that the chair seat is too DEEP. I'm 5'3" with a regular sized "back-side," but if I push myself all the to the back of the chair - my legs would be straight out in front of me. I just sit on the edge of the chair and it's still secure enough.

Diane: Safe, sturdy. I feel safe when I am using it. The back is adjustable.

Maryann: Setup was easy which is a thing you have to do but remember to put in your bolt spacers. The only con I saw was it was hard to adjust legs once you try to place the chair on top. If it gets wedged good luck trying to move it to get unstuck alone. I'm a super heavy set woman with a back disability and a slow metabolism so I can tell you right now it will without a doubt hold 475 pounds of the human that I am. Other than that. It's proven to be anti slip when your soaked so go ahead and buy this if you need to.

JWLC: Feels very sturdy and good quality. Height-adjustable but be aware that it is quite wide for a tub. The rubber feet on the bottom swivel around and have an angle to them so that they can curve a little bit as the tub curves, but it is a very tight fit. Just barely squeezes in. I kept turning the rubber feet until the angle matches the tub curvature correctly on all 4 legs.

Mark F: OK Just assembled it and took my first shower.

Assembly was no tools needed, it snapped together.
I set up the legs in the tallest setting, and I don't need taller. I was worried it would be low, but it's perferct. It's not a bar stool, it's definitely sitting postion, but I am 6"4' and weight 265lbs and I don't need it higher.

I was concerned the legs would bow out from the online photos. I almost bought the 500lbs seat because it had cross braces, but it lacked the backrest so I went with this one.

I am no longer worried about the legs bowing out. The piping is thicker then I feared, and snaps together very tight. So tight in fact you have to use some force to get them together, but once assembled it's so sturdy you will not be angry at the force to snap it together.

Also, the 4 rubber feet turn, so don't wory about which leg goes where, and they grip super well. This is why I don't fear them bowing out, they grip so strong they will resist bowing at the feet.

The backrest was a little lower then I thought, and I was thinking as I assembled it I wish it went higher. It's more of a lumbar position. but when I was in...

kroutzahn: Was more than I wanted to spend. But after reading reviews on the poor quality of others, this chair had the highest rating with excellent reviews. I'm so glad I paid the extra money for a better quality product. This was SO easy to put together and it is extremely sturdy and does not slide, tilt, or buckle. So sturdy that my mom was using it in the living room for her pre-surgery exercises to build up strength in her arms. It is advertised as EXTRA WIDE seat and glad it was. I can't imagine anything smaller accommodating an average size mature woman (190 lbs) I feel that my mom will be safe using this in the shower after her surgery. And as a bonus, the back support is easily removed if you don't want it there. I would strongly recommend this to anyone I know looking for a safe shower chair

Six Blue Monkeys: Unlike other chairs, this has welded arms and is fully capable of supporting a grumpy 245lb man. Yes, it's the same tubular aluminum construction as a gazillion other shower chairs, but this one has proved to be sturdy.
I ignored the Engrish on the seller's page and purchased this for my 78 year old father based on reviews.
It has proved sturdy (with a few flaws) but the old man is happy. It is wide enough to fit securely in a vintage 1920s tub, and the silicone suction feet have stabilized it to the point that it might as well have been installed permanently.
The one flaw is that the ease of construction is best suited to a caregiver, and not the person who needs the chair. If the chair is not assembled correctly, it is dangerous. It took some amount of force to correctly align and snap in the nodes during construction. I'm glad to do this for my ageing father, but other purchasers might expect less assembly and inadvertently misuse the product.

John Griffiths: This is a very sturdy and strong shower chair. I'm a 300 pounder and the chair feels solid and strong when I sit on it. No movement whatsoever when standing up or sitting down. A good purchase that makes showering safe.

Evelyn Anderson: I ordered this chair for my mother, And was extremely Surprised by how large and sturdy this chair is. if you are looking for something and are scared about it handling the weight or even simply fitting on this chair. It is very very fitting for a obese person.
