I am new to this razor and have been a loyal Norelco customer for over 40 years. But the Braun series 8 gives a close, comfortable shave far superior to anything I have tried from Norelco lately. This razor is easy to keep clean. The foil started to get a little warm after being cleaned from the first shave, but a little shaver oil fixed that. A bit noisy compared to the Norelcos but with this shave quality, who cares.

Shaves nice and close. No complaints there. Battery life seems good too (still only on the first charge, but it's been a day shy of two weeks and still 4 bars left). My only complaint is, with >1 day growth, you feel it...like it's grabbing the whiskers; not particularly painful, but noticeable. Not sure I'll be able to wash all the whiskers out of the nooks and crannies in the head (I bought it without the wash/charge/bath-like feature), but I think it'll be fine. I'll keep it and hope it lasts awhile; I like it fine so far. Four stars seems about right for me. Nice shaver.

The head does not fit well so it is very loud, and you get lost of shaved hair falling on your clothes (if shaving in the car or office), does not shave clean. And, customer service is terrible... after having it for only one week I called them to ask for help and they told me to use oil to make the machine work better! I ended up sending it back for repair and the box came back exactly as I had packed it, and I mean exactly. I don't believe they even opened it to look at it, and there was no note re any repair, the head was still slightly loss, and loud enough to give you a headache. By this time the 30 day return limit was over so I am stuck!! Good Luck...
