Braun Series 7 7085cc 360 Flex Head Electric Shaver for Men - Get a Smooth, Comfortable Shave Every Time

Packmule: After My 10-year-old Braun Series 3 battery finally died, I replaced it with this Series 7 model, and I am super satisfied with the shaver. My face is prone to razor burn and the Braun has always been gentle as long as I keep the cutting head replaced regularly.
This series 7 is truly a fantastic razor and cuts close and smooth without causing any burn rash or pain.
I highly recommend this razor. It is well worth the price.

Passionate about teaching: I bought this razor to replace a 10-year-old Braun series 3 which was worn out, and this series 7 has been an excellent choice for a basic electric razor. I've been using it for about 10 days, the battery is still showing nearly a full charge, and the shave has been close and comfortable. I really like the "floating" shaving head, which conforms to the contours of my face, and gives a very nice shave. I do not need a razor for a beard or the top of my head, and have not used the enclosed (separate) attachment for sideburns. The shaving head comes off pretty easily for cleaning; since there is no obvious "latch" to release the head, this is the only feature that seems a little bit tenuous, but I've had no problems with it. I have not used it as a "wet" razor (in the shower or with shaving cream), so I can't speak to that feature. So far, I've been completely satisfied with this model.

LCB: I got this to replace my 7 year old Braun Series 7 (Non-flex) shaver. I thought my old Braun was pretty good........Until I got the Braun Series 7 7020s Flex Electric Razor, which is a substantial improvement over the older Braun. I have been using the new one for about a week, so here are my impressions.

1. Ergonomics: This shaver fits my hand well and the flex head conforms to my skin so I don't have to make as many passes. It also conforms well to my scalp so I can get a clean scalp shave in less time.

2. Shaver head quality: Unlike my older Braun, the newly designed shaver head works well with coarse as well as fine hair, providing a closer and more even shave with fewer passes. With a dry shave (more about that later) I get a shave that almost rivals a razor shave, which is pretty good for an electric.

3. Trimmer: You have to remove the shaver head and install the trimmer in its place (pretty easy). Some reviewers find this inconvenient, but I find that it works much better than the built-in trimmer on my older Braun. I can even trim my goatee with it, something that I could not do with the older Braun.

Jimmy Smits: Since puberty I've always used safety razors for shaving but being old and lazy I decided to look at the best-reviewed electric razor and try it out so that's how I came to own this. Let me start by saying I can't grow a beard, it's patchy and thin and even going months without shaving is never longer than a quarter inch or so. I clean-shave about once every three days.

Just for keeping up on a clean shave this razor is alright. It's not a smooth, hair-free shave like a safety razor but rather rough. For most men I'd say it leaves the feeling of just before you get a five o'clock shadow and that's the BEST it can do. For softer parts of the face there are hairs it just can't get. For the neck you're just going to have to attack those with a safety razor or be happy with a lot of random hairs as this can't get them all. I feel like if I grow facial hair fast I'd be a lot less happy with this but the fact that it puts me how I look one day after a shave (which is slightly patchy) means that I can live with it easily.
