Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s Electric Shaver for Men - Close and Comfortable Shave Every Time

Ming60640: My twenty-five-year-old 7505 model no longer kept a long charge (beyond a single shave) and the removable cord wasn't making consistent contact to keep it running when plugged in. So, I reluctantly purchased this model in anticipation of a vacation. I was shocked how much more comfortable and clean the shave was compared to the older model. The handle is easier to grasp and the razor is lighter than the old model - hope it lasts a quarter century like the other one. The only "con" is that unlike the 7505, you can't shave while its charging.

Michael: It used to take me ~8 minutes to shave with my old Remington foil electric. With the Braun Series 3, it takes me ~4 minutes. That alone makes this Braun worth it to me. In addition, the Braun Series 3 gives a reasonably close shave for everyday purposes, which is definitely good enough for the office. I'm sure one of the $300+ electrics will give a better shave, but I doubt it will be more comfortable. After shaving with this razor, my face is not irritated at all and I don't need any aftershave lotion. It does not have many frills, except the trimmer, which works fine, and the ability to rinse under water. Beyond that, the Braun Series 3 is light weight, easy to grip when shaving, very quiet, charges quickly, and holds a charge for at least a week. I am very happy with this purchase, and I would certainly recommend it for everyday use.

kevin daniel: Smooth and comfortable on my neck, and makes a good, lasting cut. Wanted one that didn't take standard batteries, and this one has totally met and beaten my expectations. Holds a charge very well too. A darn good product, nothing cheap or cheap-feeling about it.

Twitchy: Great shaver for the money, especially considering it's made in Germany. I have thin light facial hair and generally shave daily so this shaver is perfect for my use. It's also a nice size for travel. This is my 2nd Braun Series 3, the price was so good that I decided to just buy a new shaver rather than replacing the cutting assembly in my old Braun.

Allen M.: Got this to try something different, it functions much better than the last shaver I bought costing 3 times as much as this one. Basic and no frills, but shaves closer. Works better shaving wet, but dry is OK too. Easy to clean, has decent battery life. Nice compact size for traveling. Wish I had found this sooner. Also replacement blades/screen are affordable, not the case with the other brand I had. So this is highly recommended! Very good value.

Slim G: This Braun shaver beats all other brands in most areas.

I am an electric shaver man.

Shaver worked for 6 years solid. Shaved about 3 times per week. Dry shave. Never a wet shave or cream used.

The side burn or beard trimmer works great for everything north and south of the border.

Cleaned it one time per week with little cleaning brush provided.

Money Saver #1
The metal screen lasted 6 years and no sign of openings or breaks. One big reason I love this shaver is that the metal screens never seem to break, unlike other brands where screens break and cut or damage your skin.

Money Saver #2
Another big reason I like this shaver, little to no razor burn, especially with dry shaving. It shaves close, but not as close as other brands. That unique attribute hits the sweet spot for dry shavers that don't want to apply and spend money on wet creams for shaving.

Traveled in provided case multiple times along with provided travel charger. No issues.

One of the metal stems has a plastic support connected to it and that plastic support failed after a billion revolutions, making the shaver half useful. Getting identical new shaver...

SethSeth: Je suis propriétaire d'un rasoir de la Série 5 8975, tête non-amovible (celui à la gauche de ma photo) depuis plusieurs années, minimum 20 ans. Ce rasoir BrAun rasait de très près. J'avais la peau du visage douce après chaque rasage. Le moteur de ce dernier a rendu l'âme, je ne peux le faire réparer, et il ne fonctionne que si branché dans l'interrupteur. En 2018, j'ai acheté un nouveau model de rasoir BrAun (Têtes amovibles) de plus haute gamme, que j'avais payé plus de 175$ CDN, et je fût assez surpris qu'il ne rasait pas aussi bien que mon vieux de la Série 5. Je l'ai donné à un amis. Dernièrement, je devais commander de nouvelles lames pour mon rasoir de la Série 5. Je me suis encore une fois demandé quoi faire. J'ai finalement décidé d'acheter un vieux modèle de rasoir BrAun. J'ai alors commandé un rasoir de la Série 3 3040s (sur la droite de ma photo, et têtes amovibles). Je fût très surpris lors de mon premier rasage, qu'il rasait aussi bien que mon rasoir de la Série 5. La seule chose, si vous avez la barbe trop longue entre vos rasages, le rasoir tire un peu les poils (J'avais une barbe de 5 jours lors de mon essaie). Mais, si vous vous rasez...
