This electric razor (Andis 17220 Pro) is an incredible electric shaver. I use it on my bald head, and it gets as close to the skin as a razor. From a 2 day stubble to razor smooth skin only took about 1 minute. My stubble is very coarse as well. I have sensitive skin and am prone to having shaving bumps, but this foil guard razor doesn't give me those issues. I have tried other brands that did not get this close or work this fast. Definitely give this shaver a try.

Ok. So I bought this with the idea of shaving with it. It was not a very effective shaver. Anything longer than a stubble is too long for this razor to handle. It wasn't even close to shaving anything above stubble. My Norelco shaver, however, got a lot closer than any other shaver I've ever used when I used it after shaving. It's actually very impressive. I hate that I need to use multiple shavers. However, using this instead of just my Norelco alone makes my face SO much smoother.

To begin, I would like to mention that I've tried numerous products for shaving: disposable razors (from almost all common brands), Feather's AS-D2 Safety Razor (180$ All stainless-steel), Feather's straight razor (with disposable blades), Head-Blade (both plastic and metal versions), A Phillips brand (Series 9000) Rotary-Style Electric Shaver, And just now the Andis Profoil Plus. I consider myself a 'Home-Gamer' style of 'Enthusiast,' but I wouldn't necessarily claim any specialty or expertise in shaving. I have a strong compulsion to shave everything except my eyebrows and have tried as many products as possible to obtain the best results in my subjective measure.
Without much doubt, my Feather Brand Straight razor should be most capable of getting the closest possible shave (If used properly, which isn't necessarily easy to do by yourself). Although I have used this razor to shave my entire body a few times, I don't suggest doing so; it takes pure concentration and concern to ensure you don't cut yourself. It's not worth the slight benefits.
I don't recall explicitly using my Feather AS-D2 for body hairs, so I'm still determining where I would...

Best electric razor ever!
I bought the Andis 17220 to shave my bald head, which I had been doing every 2 or 3 days with a Gillette Mach or HeadBlade (with a four blade head).
Granted, this review is only after the first use. But the results were so great, I feel compelled to share my experience.
The Andis shaved my head amazingly close right out of the box and with no prep at all. In fact, my head was so smooth, you couldn’t tell if I used a “regular” razor with shaving cream!
This razor didn’t irritate my skin or pull my hairs. It also didn’t miss any spots and leave my head patchy like other brands/types of electric razors. So, I didn’t need to go over some missed spots with a razor.
Also, the Andis is small enough to carry in my overnight bag.
Purchasing this product was a home run!
I will post again after I have used it for a couple of months to share how it holds up over time.
I don’t expect any issues because it appears to be solidly made.

Ligera, potente y con una buena batería . El apurado que deja es impecable muy contento con la compra. Hay que destacar que para que sea efectiva hay que pasa una trimmer para dejar el pelo muy corto sino esta maquina no agarra bien el pelo.
