Call_Me_Kasha: Well I would prob give a better review if it lasted longer than 1 month. Following all the instructions for submersion, and making sure to even power off during water changes. It lasted 45 days before it broke. Dont waste your money. Spend the money for a more reliable heater and dont cut corners.

Aj: We have had 4 of these since October 2020. 2 out of the 4 have failed. The actual temperature setting are off too. They are ok while they last. We put temperature readers on the outside of our tank just to keep an eye on it. It's ok for a cheaper heater but make sure you keep an eye on it. We won't be ordering anymore.

Greginathens: I bought several of these in different wattages. They seem to hold a steady temp so far, and the black metal cage surrounding it should protect it from anything short of a nuclear blast. My only issue is that they are bit of an eyesore. They’re big, encased in a black metal cage, and have an electric purple adjustment knob on the end. You can’t miss it, it looks kind of like something the military might have, and now it’s in your tank. However, you can attach plants to the outer metal cage to hide it.

RickRick:
I "was" very impressed and absolutely happy with my new heater and thermometer set!!
Unlike some heaters that take 24 hrs to reach and normalize desired temperature, this heater gets there in about 2 hrs or less and was very accurate, at least for a very short period of time! I loved the combo package and have noticed accuracy with the digital thermometer as well. The heater casing looks good inside and suction cups cling on very well to the glass, but that is where it all just stops short from complete satisfaction!
Update: Well, it was good up until my first Heater completely stopped functioning couple of months ago. It only lasted exactly 6 months. I wish it would have lasted at least 1 year yet, it just completely stopped doing its job, all of a sudden. Nevertheless, I figured to give this company a 2nd chance and ordered a 2nd Heater, same model, for the exact same purpose: to heat my 55 gallon tank.
On March 4th, just after 2 months with my new Heater, I noticed my female Angel just floating around (Not Good!) And after having her in my tank for over 3 years (Lifespan is 10 years) I couldn't believe that she would DIE on me!
As I got...

Jim FreedJim Freed: This is a heater and that is what it does...HEAT. And it does a pretty good job at that. I had it in my 60gal tank for less than 24 hours and it stabilized the tank right where I wanted it. I was concerned it was not going to heat evenly since I only bought one heater for my tank but it is sufficiently heated throughout. Very low profile, the plastic guard on the outside is also a great design as it not only conceals the heater and makes it blend into he background a bit, but it also protects my fish, other air hoses or plastic bits in the tank from touching the heater and potentially melting or harming anything. Great price, easy set up, simply take out of box and plug in. That is it. THE ONLY THING that I do not like is the cord length. Very short cord so if you have a deep tank or you are putting it down along the bottom of a tank the cord will either need an extension cord or you will need to move your outlet/power cord closer to the heater which is less ideal. Why not make the cord just 2 feet longer?? Nonetheless, it does as advertised and looks good.
