I don’t need a seat in the shower, but needed a place to sit and put on socks or lotion, etc. Feels sturdy when I sit on it, not too heavy so it can be moved around, and looks nice. Does not wobble. Assembly could have been easier. Some of the screws needed more effort to install.

Lisa L.: Item was well packaged and in good condition. If you are assembly challenged the directions aren’t as good as they could be. All it takes to easily assemble is common sense. My only frustration was that the Allen wrench was not cut right so tightening the screws took more time than it should have.

The color is as shown and exactly what I was looking for. I read reviews it got moldy in the shower, but I plan on using it outside the shower as a place to sit to dry feet, put on shoes etc. I hope it withstands a little steam.

When I sat on it it was the perfect height for me (5’6”), was comfortable and felt sturdy. I’ll probably get a little cushion to sit on for added comfort but on the other hand I hate to take away the aesthetics of the chair.

Overall, very happy with purchase. Hopefully there will be no edits to this initial review.

PhotoGraphicsPhotoGraphics: I don’t know about anyone else but when I get out of the shower there is only one place in my bathroom available to sit down to dry my feet and to me that place is meant for sitting down for an entirely different purpose. The last thing I want to do is sit on a hard slippery plastic seat cover while my body is dripping wet. So for years I’ve wanted to get one of these wood seats to put right next to my tub. Everything was right for it, I have the perfect spot for it that easily accommodates its twenty-four inch width. And the design is a perfect match for a tall bamboo linen shelf that I’ve already had for a while. This seat is just deep enough to sit on comfortably without taking up a lot of room and there is a handy shelf below for a spare towel and two handles that can make it easier to move for cleaning or to hang a washcloth on.

Note that I am describing using this as seat outside the tub. I am in no way discrediting the possibility that such a seat could be used inside my bathtub but it doesn’t fit, what’s more I have never lived in any place ever where the bathtub isn’t the normal standard size and I don’t think a seat this size would fit in any one of...

LRoushLRoush: I must admit I was hesitant to purchase this stool/bench for the shower. I've owned bamboo benches in the past and not had the greatest of luck - they are both gone for 1 of 2 reasons - reoccurring stubborn mold or questionable quality & just plain discomfort. But I am persistent and depend on a shower bench for more reasons than some might (keep reading). And I occasionally use emojis in my reviews (where appropriate😉).

While the box mine came in didn't seem to be as strong as I thought it would be, the pieces were wrapped well & undamaged. When it came to the actual bench, I wish I had found this one the 1st time around. I could tell from the beginning the quality & craftsmanship were better even though I didn't pay anymore for this one than I did the former shower bench failures🙄. These edges were smooth, the weight was solid but not cumbersome (important as I have arthritis in my hands/joints), and manufacturing quality control worked - no separated seams, questionable wood choices, or flawed finishes. It felt like a piece that will last a long time.
