bigdave: Good engaging book, but sometimes the pros xan be repetitive. So you can easily skip many chapters. Without losing any of the jest or suspense of the book.

pottheball dammit: Well know must say, the adventures of Chloe and Dion , some times the sense of loyalty, puts them in the wrong place at the wrong time. But bringing them together, ready for one more last battle .

With all the magic and sorcerery to come, just can't wait to read the final chapter.

Like to thank the author (James Maxwell) for having the inspiration to write these books, his imagination must go along way , to put all these idea's together.

Kindle Customer: This third book in the The Shifting Tides serie holds the high quality as the previous and it is a bliss to follow they well painted caracters and this fantasy world in which our heroes fight for their lives and homes against an ancient foe using magic and creatures like dragons to conquer their surroundings, it is a well written installament and very entertaining and if this type of books and genre is your cup of tea these books by Maxwell are among the better, have fun reading

lili Walker: Well here i am again at the end of the 3rd book of the 4 in the series. The story keeps you interested it moves from one item to the next, leaving no stone unturned of all the characters. On to number 4 of the series. I must take a break cuz every time I start a new book I don't know enough to pace myself. I get too caught up in all the various adventures.

Not only do you need to learn about the worlds and past conflicts to understand the current conflicts, each book ends with the set up for the next book. Also, there are continuing characters who learn and grow. They discover new talents and suffer new wounds. We have two main protagonists, Chloe and Dion. Each of them is interesting and strong enough to carry their storyline this sweeping tale of the high seas, magic, heroes, villains, and war. Chloe continues in this volume as a strong young female protagonist. She is intelligent and resilient. She may be a princess, but she is not waiting to be rescued. Dion’s story picks up where it left off in the previous book. He is the new king after the death of his older brother. Chloe is believed dead in her home country and Dion’s. It is a good story, and it is told well. James Maxwell describes many different settings in excellent detail. It is lush.
