Douglas Debner: This book is essentially perfect for me, with the right mix of intelligence and wit. The MC wakes up as the 12 year old bad guy from one of his favorite mangas. Having been an adult and knowing at least some of what is to happen gives the MC certain advantages, like greater emotional stability and discipline. This means that the MC is immediately better off than the character he inhabits since he doesn't feel the need to wreck his magic trying to be something other than a summoner. It also means the MC reacts calmly, if somewhat methodically, when insulted and accosted by other boys. The MC also trains his magic maniacally and begins an exercise and diet regiment to bring his over-weight 12 year old body into shape.
As a result of the MCs actions the story begins to change. For starters the MC’s original character had very low magical ability but the MC's presence somehow changes that, placing him at the very highest of magical ability. Also, instead of creeping on the Princess the MC now seeks to avoid her as he is all too aware of how wrong things went for his character in the manga. Unfortunately for the MC the emperor wants the two together and so enlists the MC as a...

Ken MacDonald: I'm not into anime or whatever at all but you don't really have to be to appreciate this book.
Overall great read. Only gripe is how the main character seems really attached to his parents, despite not knowing them since he's brought to the world.
He acts as if he really cares that his parents leave him somewhere and they go off doing whatever but honestly why would he care anyway? Doesn't make sense.
Otherwise it's a fun book!

Kindle Customer: This was a very enjoyable read. A change of pace from Arant's usual main characters. I honestly enjoyed this more than his other books because of it. The world is interesting and the main character is relatable. His lack of knowledge of the minutiae of the world make this all the more entertaining, even if he is given to a Harry Potter level of unawareness at time lol.

John: Honestly, when I read the title. I thought I was expecting a “bad guy” or villain as protagonist to win rather than good guys winning cliche. But the more I read at the end, turns out I was mistaken.
But aside of that, I enjoyed the story even though I was bored at some sentences I didn’t catch up with. But with sense of humour, it keeps me up to read more at the end so.
I’d recommend to those who looked forward with typical “nice guy” cliches.

Aaron: While short at 179 pages this book is definitely a keeper. Some what original book. I can only think of one other story where the protagonist is transported to another world and into the character of the antagonist. As "Aren" is familiar with this world due to it being from his favorite anime and uses this knowledge to prepare and maybe avoid the characters fate.
Having to start from ground up with no idea how the magic system works, while being a fat adultescent means he has his work cut out for him. Being the fat kid isn't easy as he is bullied and made fun of. This was part of why the character turned out the way he did in the original storyline. It doesn't help that his father doesn't appear to care for him that much either (or just really bad at showing interest) and the king keeps trying to force him into ~*censored*~. Throw in a princess that is a little overbearing and an independent who doesn't like being told what to due, include the scheming of country stirring up conflict, suspected traitors and the MCs determination to see things through and you have yourself a story you aren't likely to forget and leaves you asking for more; not to mention monsters and family...
