Sabrina: Book 2 in the Hades x Persephone series. I just love how St. Clair ties in the old myths to her modern retelling.

Jennifer L. MeyerJennifer L. Meyer: The public still doesn't know that Persephone is the goddess of spring, but now that her and Hades relationship has gone public, it threatens to expose her. A tragedy with her best friend leaves her heart in ruins and Hades, refusing to help. She tries to take matters into her home hands, striking bargains with Apollo that leave her heart in more turmoil. I absolutely love Hermes in this book. It's just some of the things he says, like that took some real lady balls, Sephy! Can't wait to read the next book!

Jordan Tate: I am in LOVE with this series. If you love Greek Mythology and haven't read this- then are you actually living?!?
I think I liked this book more than the first one because it literally had my emotions all over the place. I was happy, PISSED, upset, I cried, I laughed, and the SPICE scenes was SPICEY!!!!!!
I know a lot of the reviews speak negatively in regard to Persephone and the HOT MESS EXPRESS she was but I think this book does a great job at showing the "age gap" between Hades and her. Was she annoying and kept making me angry - yes but honestly it kept me intrigued. I think a big takeaway is that Persephone’s love language is WORDS OF AFFIRMATION. She needs that validation and Hades love language is CLEARLY physical touch.
Hades is my BOOK BOYFRIEND right now and I don’t see that changing any time soon. His character and role in book 2 make up for Persephone and her childish behavior. I also love the other relationships in this book like Hermes and Persephone’s friendship.
Okay I have to stop before I start dropping spoilers left and right... PLEASE GIVE THIS BOOK A CHANCE it should be rated much higher!

Maryann Troche: Book two is another phenomenal story that continues the journey of Hades and Persephone. I can’t describe enough how much I’m loving this series. As I said before, I love mythology and the journey of Hades and Persephone includes so many other gods and goddesses as well. The stories are never ending excitement! The smut, by the way, between Hades and Persephone is very 🔥 HOT, read those moments at your own risk. 🤣 phew!
With book two, the attention focuses on Persephone; however, Hades and many other gods, goddesses, and mortals are involved with her. Due to the way her controlling mother, Demeter, raised her, it has caused Persephone to be stubborn and go against decisions that are best followed for everyone involved because she thinks she knows a better way - which is her way. 🤦🏼♀️
Persephone makes rash decisions that were nerve wracking to me as a reader because I knew there was a consequence coming that wouldn’t be good and could’ve been avoided if only Persephone stopped wanting everything her way.
Persephone, learns the hard way, which entails facing all those consequences due to her actions. The greatest lesson she discovers...

JT: Okay I have a lot of feelings about this book, Persephone became almost intolerable throughout the middle but the ending was so sad but so beautiful that it made up for it 💔
I still love Hades A LOT, he definitely made getting through this book possible when Persephone was making it difficult.
There was definitely some toxic-ness between them at points but I feel like Persephone was fuelling that with her behaviour?
Definitely going to continue with the series because overall, I enjoy the story and the characters. The side characters are all so lovable and have so much depth to them and the spice is perfect 😌

Bref un assez long passage long de pleurnicherie.
Mais si on passe ce petit moment ennuyeux , j ai adore tout le reste . Les personnages secondaires sont haut en couleurs. J adore particulièrement Hermès et appolon

K-Books: After finishing A Touch of Darkness, I couldn’t help but dive straight in to the second Hades and Persephone book. I’ve always been such a huge lover of this myth and I was blown away by the first book and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I didn’t love A Touch of Ruin quite as much as I did the first book but I still completely devoured it and couldn’t put it down.
A Touch of Ruin is angst personified. I was not expecting it to be quite as angsty as it was but I absolutely loved it. There was a lot of things that happened in this book that brought all of the drama… and I was so here for it. I fell even more in love with Hades throughout this book. He is just so incredible and perfect and I just completely obsessed over him through this book.
Honestly, Persephone irritated the life out of me in this one. I still love her but some of her actions? Man, I was practically yelling at the book to tell her to stop being so stupid. She was acting ridiculous, selfish and immature and that irritated me. I just kept being all like ‘well if you’d just listened to Hades in the first place you wouldn’t be in this position’. However… we did...

Iza: There's always a good side and a bad side to finding an amazing book. The good, well, another favorite book to add to your list, and the bad... you finish it and then what?
After inhaling book one, I immediately started book two, but tried to read it at a slower pace. You know, savor it. The author took Hades' and Persephone's relationship to a whole new level, making this change gradually, in the best possible way. Not too fast, not too slow. It simply happened naturally. Yes, we have some drama and tension - these two are at the beginning of their relationship, plus others are sticking their noses into their business, so it's bound to break your heart, just a little bit.
Because yes, this one has much more feels and, as a matter of fact, my favorite scene from both books is in this one. I'll only say one word: Forest. Well, okay, here's another hint: Underworld. The author wrote that scene so damn well, it was so powerful.
I truly love how real these characters and dynamic between them feels. Hades' & Persephone's relationship; Hades & Hecate - siblings and BFFs; Persephone & Hecate; Hermes, Apollo etc. You kind of want to hang out with them, you...

Momomonet: I loved this book! I did the tandem read with a game of retribution. There is no other way to read this series. The author posted the tandem reading guide on her Instagram so I highly recommend everyone read it that way!
