Mike: I bought a ROS( Ride Out Supply ) with 108 points of engagement and hated it. It was super loud and there was so much resistance that I could barely coast. This Shimano is amazingly quiet and smooth without any resistance. It had a solid build. My first ride with it was just under 30 miles and it preformed flawlessly. This is Quietest freewheel I have ever had. It's getting pretty bad where I live and I'd rather be stealthy than to advertise. Great freewheel so far.

So, the first thing I noticed about this freewheel was that it was just ever so slightly stickier than my older freewheel. Not by a lot, but it was noticeable. I believe that's due to the (possibly) thicker lubricant used in this one. BUT... you can only really tell a difference when you're spinning it with your finger. WILL NOT make a difference once it's on your bike. You won't be able to tell.
I have a pretty powerful Electric Bike and with my old freewheel, it made a loud clicking noise whenever I wasn't pedaling (as like 99% of all bicycles do). But this one is just insanely quiet. I can only really hear it when someone else is riding my bike around and even then, only when they ride really close to me (and I have to be listening for it.
It's also super smooth. No snags or anything like that.
I had read in other reviews that there was a clicking noise but... that's definitely not the case with the one I got. So if you get one with a loud clicking noise, I'd send it back and get another. Could be faulty or something.
