StylesStyles: I had to replace my freewheel after the original fell apart. I found it was cheaper to replace it than try to repair the old one. I'd never replaced one before, but with the help of YouTube and a freewheel lock ring removal tool (NOT the cassette tool; mandatory but inexpensive) I was able to get the old freewheel off the hub and install this new one without too much trouble (and all for less than $30). Clicks in reverse and operates exactly as it should. Very pleased for now, time will tell if it holds up.

TMux: Ist halt der Standard 7fach Schraubkranz von Shimano, wie er auf günstigen Kompletträdern zu finden ist... Nix dagegen einzuwenden, hält schon eine Weile auch wenn man die Kette nicht ständig pflegt und tauscht und für den aufgerufenen Preis von 14 Euro kann man nicht meckern.

JB: The stock freewheel bearings failed and luckily this unit is a perfect fit at a very reasonable price. This unit replaced a failed freewheel on my inexpensive Schwinn Sidewinder I bought at Walmart around 10 years ago.

Tim Peterson: I converted my Trek 4100 Alpha to an ebike (Bafang mid-drive 750 watt). The original cassette was well worn and in some gears the chain would slip causing a clunking noise and you could feel it on the pedal. This replacement cassette solved this problem and the shifting is now like new.

Curt Publow: I have a pretty inexpensive bike, bought from a big box store, and recently started having some issues with the drivetrain. First the chain failed. Replaced that, then on my next significant ride, the freewheel literally came apart and dropped the tiny bearings on the road about 5 miles from home. Once I got that apart to see what parts I needed, I found that the wheel bearings were pretty rough. Probably all of this started with trying to overcome the failing wheel bearings, but now I have this sweet new freewheel and it now pedals and shifts so smoothly. This freewheel is a little different from what I'm used to, it doesn't make any noise when coasting or back-pedaling, but it still locks in tight, and never jumps a tooth. Only have about 60 miles on it so far, but I'm happy with the purchase.
