Manuel: I purchased the system for a commercial property I am renovating. The property has been broken into twice and does not have power. I picked the system based partially on the reviews and based on the cell connection and supposed ease of use. I needed to have something in place to ensure that I would have some kind of notification and recourse while the building is under development and if all went well, have a permanent alarm system going forward.
The good: It was packaged nicely and the system was easy to understand and put together.
*All the accessories that came in the box were pre-programmed to work with the alarm. I connected the system and put it into test mode and tested the accessories to make sure they worked. Pretty simple setup and easy to test.
*Bonus, there is a phone connection as a backup that I had not expected and had not read about. This allows for backup calls to dispatch and police in case the cell service is out.
*The alarm system has an USB flash drive build into the keychain that has an Easy Setup Wizard. The wizard allows you to customize your SimplySafe system on your PC then plug it into the Base Station and synchronize your settings....

The Simplisafe system has been excellent so far. I've had it a week, and I love how practical it's been. Very easy to use, very intuitive, and extremely expandable. The price point is perfect for us, and the fact that we can activate or deactivate it from our phones means we can feel good about it while travelling.
Simplisafe2 is wireless, adding to the easy installation. Many of the sensors use strong double-sided tape to attach, but I STRONGLY advise using the included screws as well. If a sensor falls off while you're away, you will be responsible for the false alarm call.
