I reached out to customer service and they replaced the faulty sensor quickly. Very easy to setup and install as well. Highly recommend this system for peace of mind home monitoring.

Em: I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and this kit was perfect for all my doors and windows! I bought the siren separately. I've had this for about 2 years and it has been fantastic from day one! It is easy to customize automations in the app, and gives me peace of mind getting notifications when my door opens for maintenance requests, deliveries, guests or anything else if I'm not at home. Combined with a peephole camera and Alexa, I'm able to customize a complete security system with automations for a fraction of the price of a system like Ring or Simply Safe. If you want security sensors, or simply door or window notifications on the cheap, I can't recommend this enough. If there's an Internet outage, you also get a notification for that so you always know what's going on, so if in doubt, you can ask for management or police check for any properties you have.

HSHS: This is my first day review. I wanted to use it as a latch sensor than just a door sensor because most times we close the patio door but forget to lock/latch it and this is what I needed a sensor to alert me about. While I could not find a product that does this, I was able to carefully position the Yolink door sensor and magnet at right angles spaced just apart so that when the metallic latch is pulled down it will break the magnetic field and show the door as open. When the latch is pushed up in locking position, the sensor will detect the door as closed. The picture shows the idea which I have now setup and is working good. It may be that I will have to change the batteries sooner to maintain this setup but still worth it to get what I needed to work. Alexa should then be able to alert before bedtime that the latch is open (unfortunately this part is still not working: Alexa cannot read a sensor status and send out an alert even though YoLink app can do that).

toolz: I was hesitant at first. But I’m pretty good with technology so the set up was pretty straight forward. I watched some videos on their website via the QR codes on the instructions manual. USE THE QR CODES. set up everything as listed in the instructions. WATCH THE VIDEOS. this process took me no longer than 20 minutes. If you have some common sense and common knowledge on using your smartphone- use it.
This product was a good purchase and I would recommend this to anyone looking for door sensors that connect to your phone.

Serge Charlebois: Long story short, these two guys came to my house to clean my heating ducts and started to make really weird jokes about how they could rob me of my stuff and then resell it back to me. I didn't like that at all.

So I came to Amazon to see what sort of solutions existed in this day and age, before I considered getting a professional home security system that you pay for every month etc. Yes, that option is by far the best if you want 100% peace of mind.

That said, I wanted to give this product a try and here's what I have to say about it:

PROS = everything is relatively small so it doesn't take up a bunch of space. The piece that connects to your router is the size of a smoke detector and can be set up on a wall, or leave it on the floor like I did, next to the router. I plug it in with the cable rather than WIFI, it's that much more reliable that way. It comes with 4 detectors, which is exactly how many I needed (2 windows and 2 doors).

Once you're set up, you have to go into the app and click a few times to get to the alarm scenario you want to activate once you've left your home. Sometimes the app takes a few more seconds to launch and find your...

SN: The Good Parts

- Very easy to set up and add sensors to hub, thanks to the QR codes printed on each device
- Well priced for a hub with 4 door sensors
- Native app notifications for iOS and Android worked well for me.
- The margin of error for the door sensor to stay "closed" is pretty good in that it can accommodate some irregular door and trim
- Integrates with Alexa, Google and IFTTT (did not try, as they aren't critical for my use case)
- Includes ethernet cable, micro-usb cable and charger

Hit or Miss

- The history view in the app is clunky, it's a grid as opposed to a list.
- SMS notifications require a subscription, although I found the app notifications to be satisfactory
- Would be nice if it could connect to the local network via wifi instead of ethernet
- Depending on the door you're installing on, the contours of the trim, etc can make installation difficult, especially if the surface is not flat. Having some additional double-sided tape, putty, etc. will come in handy in this situation. I had one tricky door frame trim where I had to use a hot glue gun to level off the sensor magnet.

North Carolina Consumers Council: We have tested various devices for a few weeks. I have to say that we are very pleased.

The first thing we noticed when unpackaging was that everything seem to be designed and made with attention to detail and care. That was a little surprising for us. Many times you get cheap packaging and apps that look like they were created in a single afternoon. Not so in this case. We had to double check to verify that this is a start up company. By all outward indications, it feels like it’s a well polished company that has been in business for quite some time. All manuals and set up information is available online. Do not expect much in the box. We had a little difficulty finding the information we needed at first but we were grateful, and still are, for the fast response from the company.

Since we mentioned the company, we have to note that any kind of support request is answered promptly, even at odd hours of the night. That was surprising. But they have always been friendly and helpful, even when we should have checked product documentation first.
