Peter: Like the mini connector, requires only a small hole to be drilled. Clear daytime and nighttime picture quality. Optional AHD is nice feature. Works as a rear camera or front camera, just need to cut correct wire. Prefer this 170 degree view since you get to see more side objects, though there is a little fisheye effect. Had 145 degree camera and couldn't see cars on either sides. Like this vertical adjustment with the screws over a metal piece that you need to bend by hands or using plier.

Derek PollittDerek Pollitt: Just installed it today it was easy but took time do to I had to take my dash apart to get to my RC-A connector on my Radio. Also had to enable the backup camera in the Apim for the radio. Like I said I just installed it so it’s hard to go off of only using it twice. But so far it has a clear picture & it’s a decent little camera for the price of it. I will come back and update y’all in a few months. I’ll put as a 5 star for now & I’ll make some adjustments in 3 months if anything changes.

L. reed: so many camera to choose from. after a lot of research I took a gamble on this one. it is absolutely the best. can't say enough good about it. even night time the images are very clear and bright. truly a top of the line camera. there is one red wire used to trigger the radio. 2 red tail wires by the camera to apply camera power when in reverse, those 2 wires should be twisted together and tapped into the reverse light hot wire

Richard CRichard C: I upgraded the stock radio in my 2010 RAV4 to a radio with Android Auto, bluetooth and backup camera ready. To install, I had to remove the interior plastic on the rear door and the right rear cargo area. The wires were pretty easy to route, but did take the better part of a day for this project. Most people that installed the camera centered on the license plate (which is on the far left) have mentioned the image is off-center so I installed it as close as possible to the spare tire. To the right of the license plate there is a small square piece of black plastic which is easy to pop out. I drilled a hole in it, along with the metal behind it and ran the wire thorugh there.

To get the camera to come on when backing, it has to be connected to a wire that leads to the backup bulb, hence the need to take off the cargo plastic and remove the jack. I used a low-voltage T Tap to connect the camera wire, but not to one of the wires coming from the bulb as they were really thick. Follow those two wires away from the bulb and they eventually split into several wires and go into a wiring harness. One of those wires is red and that is the one you want to tap into.

Amazon Customer: It feels like it's built well, comes with lots of extras to make it work almost anywhere you might want to mount it. So far I've just tested it but the picture quality is way better than other reverse cameras I've used.

Enz: I'm not a fan of people posting 5 star reviews on stuff they just pulled out of the box. Installed this on my truck (4 door) a couple months ago. There was more than enough cord to run it down into the pumper, over the wheel wells, down the length under the body and up into the cab area.

The visual quality is excellent, the housing feels very solid. Night vision is also very clear. Over all, I'm quite pleased and have no problem recommending this to anyone.

I have one small complaint which reduces a star. The tiny screws on the back of the camera which are used to mount it, are terrible. It's only a problem if you're going to unmount the camera to place it on the license plate mount which I did. It's screwed into plastic so you can't really torque them down at all. This will fail before the camera does.

The company is great, customer oriented and I reccomend doing business with them.

Anonymously Yours,: This is a review for the HD05 Camera (w/license plate bracket). I've not been paid nor incentivized to provide review. Rarely do I write reviews, but I feel this product (and Seller) deserve one. 5 star+
I knew little to anything about aftermarket reverse cameras as I've had various fty. installed cameras (since 2006).
In other words, I've never had to look for (nor hv. experience with quality of) an aftermarket camera.
However, I do hv. a vehicle without any reverse camera, and when my HU (aka radio) needed replacement and the new HU had an option to add cameras I figured let me add a reverse camera.
So I began researching the myriad options on Amazon. So many looked to have similar function/image quality (as well as similar issues like fogging or water damage after time). So how is one to choose?!
Of course the experience with Seller (aka reviews) could be important (after all if such product fails down the road e.g. fog/water you need a good seller to back it). However, what immediately caught my attention here what that the Seller (or maker) claimed to have studied the many camera options & issues but more importantly found a way to distinguish their item...
