AUTO-VOX TW1 Truly Wireless Rear-View Backup Camera

bobp: The TW1 wireless backup camera from Auto-vox is one of my best investments. I have placed the camera on my license plate so that i can see how close i am parked to obstacles such as curb stops etc. etc. I've had the camera for about 2 years now. Customer service (VICKY) has been tremendous. I would recommend this product highly and if you need customer service, make sure to ask for Vicky.

LiquidGx: Yepp this camera system definitely does what it says. I purchased a new vehicle and it didn't come with a front camera. I didn't realize it until after I finished signing all the paper work because I was just to excited at the time and didn't think to check.

The previous vehicle I had- had one and I've gotten so used to it. So when I would usually activate it while parking, I realized how much I enjoyed it. So I came here to find a simple camera where I could put together myself without paying for installation. This camera really was easy to put together and even easier to activate.

The vision is clear and I am very happy to have went with this brand model. I even purchased a second camera for the rear of my vehicle eventhough my vehicle does have a rear camera. The reason is so that even while parked at a stop light, I can activate it without putting my vehicle in reverse even while driving. Comes very handy. I am pleased with this product and completely recommend it. ThankS 😁.

James Moloney: It was so easy to install I took me longer to take off my number plate than it actually took to set it up and have it working. I've had it working for 2 days now and I could not be any happier, the price was good plus Amazon delivery worked a treat too.

R. Saclolo: I purchased this car cam set about a year ago and it has worked flawlessly since installation. However, a week ago, the camera stopped turning on even after full recharge. Therefore, the monitor cannot pair with the camera. I went through all the troubleshooting steps in the manual but the results just confirmed that the camera is not holding charge anymore. I e-mailed AUTO-VOX customer service to tell them about the problem and I got a response from "Vicky" soon thereafter. As expected, I went through all the troubleshooting steps with her and confirmed same results. Vicky stated that AUTO-VOX is sending me a replacement camera and that I will get it in about 2 weeks. Thanks AUTO-VOX!

D.B.: Edit- Going from 1 star to 4. Customer support got back to me in about 12 hours with a great list of troubleshooting ideas. One of the suggestions worked and I ended up getting a 28 foot range. My only issue is that I had to struggle with the set up, reach out for help, and wait an additional 12 hours for assistance. Why couldn’t this troubleshooting list be provided in the instructional manual? The manual’s support was useless. My suggestion is put the emailed list in the manual. Overall the product is working well so far.

I bought the camera and monitor kit along with a second camera to have a front and rear set up. Everything worked exactly as described when the cameras and monitor were less than 2 feet apart during my initial test. I was initially really excited by how cool this technology was. I installed the one camera to my license plate and went back to the car to adjust the view. I noticed that channel 1 was blinking red with a black screen. Channel 2 was still working, however. I decided to take the first camera off of the mount and re-pair it. Before I could re-pair, the camera came in instantly. I went back to the mount and checked the monitor, same issue. I...

Paul PianaltoPaul Pianalto: Both his for the caravan and installed it. Has great range as when I drive away from the van it’s connected up to 100m away. The image is clear and works well in low light. The setup is so easy it’s a crime. Unscrewed the number plate. Put on the tape and screw the plate back in. Plug in the screen and it’s on immediately. So far it’s a winner.

I see it says a setting of 30/60/90 seconds on but can I leave the camera/monitor on for 2/3/4hrs?? I want to have it in permanently when I’m towing"
I take much longer than 90 seconds to back up my boat. I would like the camera to stay on permanently othjerwise it is actually no use to me

However, the traditional way of installing a backup camera is difficult. You need to remove your car’s rear light, and do lots of wiring which makes the process tedious. This product is an easy way to add a backup camera to any car, fully wirelessly.

Let’s get started with what’s in the box. It comes with pretty much everything you need - the camera itself, the screen to view the camera, the mount for the screen, and the cable to the lighter to connect it to your car’s lighter port. It also comes with a microUSB cable to charge the backup camera, a tool to unscrew the camera from the mount which we will get into soon, and an adhesive piece as an alternative to sliding the camera into your license plate.

It has two different ways to mount it - either with the adhesive included or with sliding it into your license plate.

Installation is easy and simple. You just remove your license plate, put the backup camera on top, and just screw it back on. It’s super super easy and quick.
