Patricia: Be aware that the night vision camera is not color but fuzzy black and white. The vendor was very responsive in replacing the first camera with one that had a better picture, but it is infrared. By the time I realized this, we already had paid for it to be installed. Works OK, but headlights make the picture quality not that good at night. Daytime is pretty good.

SG: The camera works great… sometimes. I’ve double checked my connections but it only sends the video to my radio sometimes. There doesn’t seem to be any reason for it.

Wayne S.: Awesome camera for the price. Great picture and very easy to install as either a reverse or front facing camera. Both the instruction manual and installation are helpful, so I suggest that these be reviewed before the install. Also, I would recommend conduit carrier tubing to house the wires in when running the video cable and trigger wire from back to front. It just looks more professional, and more importantly, helps protect the wire. Plus keep in mind that the trigger wire is separate from the video cable and then need to be bundled together. If you're installing this as a front facing camera or don't need the trigger wire, it works great to use it as the positive wire to connect within the vehicle near the head unit. And make sure that you have a good ground for the negative end.

I really like this camera - it's very cost effective, and I'm going to install one on all my vehicles, including my 24' RV. And before I forget, another thing I like about this camera is that it's adjustable so that it's easy to rotate the camera up or down for the best view.

Kaida Tinari: Installed two of these on our van. The image quality is great, and the field of view is perfect. The ability of have normal or mirror image, and lines on or off is great, only wish the night lighting was Night lighting could be activated by a trigger wire. This one does use a photocell which is ok, but if you plan on using it as a rear camera that is on all the time, having a bright white light facing back is not legal. I covered the lights with electrical tape, leaving the sensor visible. With out the lights visible at night the image quality is still quite good,

Peggy ChristophersonPeggy Christopherson: Picture quality and build quality is good for the price. I couldn't find any fault with the quality of the product, met or exceeded my expectations. Regarding the "night vision" I think that may not be the most accurate definition. What is uses is fairly bright white LEDs rather than IR "night vision" LEDs like you'll find on some cameras. They are activated from a light sensor on the camera. If it is powered on and it's dark out the lights come on automatically. You cannot disable them. If you intend to power the camera all the time and not just in reverse you might have issue with this camera as you'll have a rear facing bright light while driving around. You can see both states of these white LED lights in my photos.

There is a +12V lead at either end of the cable so you can either power the camera from the rear reverse light, or other power source, or you can just run the long cable up front and power it from a circuit up front. Per the manual, the front wire is to be used with some head units that require a trigger wire to switch on the video display but you can also power the camera with this wire. Just be sure to insulate the other unused end if not using it as it is...

Veronica B.: To me, the photo of the product in the ad is a bit misleading. This camera attaches using the screws for your license plate. The photo shows a strap assembly. The set up using the license plate screws works fine unless you have the issues i have.

1. I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The license pate is on the driver's side so the camera is off center. This isn't an issue if you aren't using the camera for close parking purposes and therefore relying on the line markings on the screen to avoid contact. They are just off center because the camera is off center. I turned off the line markings and it works great for checking what's behind me to avoid making contact.

2. The Jeep license plate holder only uses 1 screw for the top and 1 screw for the bottom, relying on a grommet on the plate holder which goes into the passenger side holes on the license. Unfortunately this camera holder set up is designed for using 2 screws to hold it secure. I cranked down the one screw pretty hard without consequences and it was holding the camera straight. In a perfect world, there would have been 2 screw holes available.
