This product replaced a $5 rabbit ear antenna I purchased 10 years ago from Walmart to see local channels. I did not subscribe to cable.
Purchased product works perfectly. Where I placed in my home, it works much better than the more expensive antennas. I would buy this product again!!

This antenna works pretty well in the windowsill but struggles elsewhere in the home. It delivers similar performance to other indoor loop antennas and flat-panel antennas (not so great).
I recommend anyone who's really serious about TV to get a cheap directional or yagi-style antenna over something like this, since isotropic loop antennas are quite susceptible to multipath and signal pixelation. The RCA ANT705Z works quite well and can be mounted indoors in an attic or high vaulted-ceiling space, and the VHF elements can be removed for UHF-only markets to reduce the size.

I bought this to replace the RCA antenna I previously had. The RCA model only lasted about two years, not a knock on RCA - I think it was more that it got jostled around a bit while moving and such. The big difference between this Phillips unit and the very similarly-priced RCA antenna is that the loop antenna is permanently affixed to the base. The RCA unit allows you to remove that piece, and, potentially, replace it if so desired, this unit won't allow that but that doesn't matter much to most folks. The picture quality and reception is solid, depending on the signal strength of the transmission. It's also fairly durable, seemingly more so than the aforementioned RCA model. I am in a large city and the channel scan on my TV detected 84 channels. I would recommend this antenna.

I'm a real customer (promise):
You probably aren't gonna pick up any actual TV stations but not at the fault of the antenna, there isn't exactly a ton of channels being broadcasted. When it does pick up a signal it has no problem producing great picture quality, comparable to other input methods like AV. Works well for at home broadcasting projects

This does not get too many stations, and does not receive channels 2 - 13, the traditional VHF channels. In a major metro area that is flat (Florida). Tried moving it around and didn't help. I got the Winegard antenna instead and solved all my needs.
