Karen B: As a former litigation paralegal, I thoroughly enjoyed the courtroom strategies and subterfuges, the political infighting of the several layers of law enforcement (FBI, local police, sheriffs).
A good look at the reality of mob crime in the present day. Having lived in NYC for 45 years and in CT and NJ before that, it’s nice to see the filthy laundry aired for all to see. Props to all those fighting the gangsters of our world, trying to put an end to their corruption and violence.
And how could anyone not enjoy Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch working together? I love all of the characters in their worlds. Pure joy.
Thanks, Mr. Connelly. I truly love your writing. Never a dull moment, never a boring plot. Thanks from a lifelong bookworm!

R&M Wagner: Starts of exciting, and ends as good as it started. Very clever legal game play between the prosecution, the defense, and the FBI, and action by the bad guys.
If you’ve seen the TV series first, this is every bit as good, with all the same familiar persons.

Minty: Another very enjoyable book from Connelly. Plenty of twists and turns and wrong guesses although it fizzled out at the end but a great conclusion and leads for more Micky stories. I am surprised that he didn’t sue for damages and compensation.

Connie unclebach: This is the first book that I have read from the perspective of the counselor (who also happens to be the accused) in a courtroom showdown with the DA of a murder.
It paints a picture about the proceedings. Everything that goes into formulating a case. Thoughts about picking jurors, deciding on witnesses, the investigation, and surprises from opposing counsel. There are also glimpses into life inside the prison. Being ushered to and from court and moving about the system.
This might sound boring, but the writing is done in a way that keeps you engaged. A good read.
This is the second book I have read by Michael Connelly and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Como siempre, y con las novelas de Mickey Haller, me quito el sombrero ante Michael Connelly.
Son los mejores thrillers legales que he leído nunca. Desde que leí la primera de la serie, El inocente (The Lincoln Lawyer), quedé enganchada y mereció la pena.
De esta primera se hizo una película protagonizada por Matthew McConaughey que es muy, muy buena adaptación. De lo mejor que he visto en cuanto a adaptaciones de libros para la pantalla.
Todas las novelas protagonizadas por Haller son buenas, pero The Law of Innocence es la que más me gustó desde El inocente.
Como todo lo de Michael Connelly lo traducen tarde o temprano, espero que The Law of Innocence, no tardará demasiado.
Mientras, os la recomiendo encarecidamente, para que estéis preparados para leerla en cuanto la traduzcan.
En The Law of Innocence, el acusado es el propio Haller. Y, por supuesto, se defiende a sí mismo, con la ayuda de sus...
