Viviana Varona: 10* stars. This book was so very emotional, but so beautiful at the same time. This author never disappoints. I look forward to the next one from her. This is a must read and/or listen.

Zelda: While the the premise could have been a real tearjerker this author made it anything but. The characters were well developed. I could picture them like actors in the movie presentation of the story. Nothing was left out I found it difficult to put down! Loved the ending...

smruti ranjan dora: Not a fan of romantic stories that deals with terminal partners but this book just sparkles with positivity, light, hope, love and a lot of humor. Also it isn't really about death as much as it is about embracing life and I guess I needed this read.

Phoebe Fletcher: The entire last half of the book had me crying uncontrollably. This book has made me believe in soulmates. This book has made me believe in true love. This book will forever have a place in my heart. Abby Jimenez is an amazing author Anne I can’t wait to read more of her work.

When Vanessa Price’s 19 year old stepsister left her with her week old newborn baby and disappeared, her whole life changed. She’s staying in a studio apartment in St Louis, and has suspended her life to care for baby Grace. She’s a well known travel YouTuber who advocates for ALS awareness, after losing her grandmother, aunt, mother and sister to the disease. None of them lived to see age 30, and Vanessa suspects she may also have the disease. When baby Grace is screeching in the early hours of the morning, her next door neighbour Adrian steps in and saves her. And slowly the two fall in love, despite all the rational reasons why they shouldn’t.

I loved seeing how this story fitted into the first two books in the series, and appreciate that this could definitely be read as a standalone. I adored how both Vanessa and Adrian were so grown up about stepping into the caretaker role, both for each other, and for baby Grace. I wondered at some points how little fuss Grace is, but that didn’t detract from the story or the writing. This spectre of ALS hangs over the relationship between...

Briana Bailon: With each book I’ve read by Abby Jimenez, I’ve dived into different storylines from Josh and Kristen’s in, “The Friend Zone”, to Sloan and Jason in, “The Happy Ever After Playlist”, both book which were great and left me feeling lots of emotions. In, “The Happy Ever After Playlist”, Adrian made an appearance going on a double date with Sloan, Kristen, and Josh. Something about Adrian had me feeling like, “oh yes, I would definitely love to read about him”. What do you know? My wish was granted when I found out this book, “Life’s too Short” was going to be about Adrian and of course Vanessa.

Vanessa’s life was centered around her traveling content, she was a pretty successful YouTuber, traveling the world and enjoying life to the fullest. Seemed like Vanessa was living her best life, until one day she was suddenly the guardian of her sister’s baby. Vanessa’s life changed drastically going from traveling the world to a messy apartment trying to take care of a baby. Child care is by no means easy and Vanessa had to learn the hard way. Adrian, a criminal defense attorney lived right next door to Vanessa. One difficult night of trying to figure...

BananaTricky: When Adrian Copeland's last night with his long-distance girlfriend is disturbed by a baby crying for hours on end in the apartment next door he goes round to try to stop the noise but ends up soothing the baby while the neighbour takes a shower to wash the baby sick out of her hair.

Vanessa Price has a huge YouTube following for her travel vlog but all that has been put on hold after her eighteen year old little sister dumps her baby and runs off. Now she's supporting her deadbeat family and looking after a baby full-time.

Adrian feels sorry for Vanessa and starts helping her out, then his assistant volunteers him to foster an old incontinent and toothless chihuahua and the two of them start sharing their fostering responsibilities.

Vanessa has a 50% chance of inheriting a fatal, undiagnosable form of ALS which has killed several of her female relatives before their thirtieth birthday, at age twenty-nine she's living on borrowed time but has fully embraced the idea of living in the moment and enjoying life to the full.

Adrian has never met anyone like Vanessa and her attitude to life speaks deeply to him, but he has only watched a couple of her YouTube...

Good things first:

• I liked the writing (this is a new author to me). I read this in record time because it just flowed very well, both the story and the way it was told.

• I liked the humour, it wasn’t extremely funny but the banter between the characters was smart and entertaining.

• The plot itself was simple and to be honest there wasn’t very much there, but that wasn’t a bad thing necessarily, I expected maybe a bit more but again, it was okay the way it was in the end.

• I loved how the people in Vanessa’s life were portrayed. Her family was described as deeply flawed and yet that wasn’t written as being a bad thing necessarily, but as a learning curve. Everyone has their own battles and their own way of being there for their loved ones. I loved the uniqueness of those characters and the fact that they were humanised, not demonised. I particularly loved her dad and her brother. They were awesome and her brother cracked me up whenever he had any dialogue.

• I definitely liked the overall message that the book tried to convey. It was all about living in the now,...

RENATA RODRIGUES: Be prepared. This story will make you swoon, laugh out loud, but also share a high amount of tears. But I wouldn’t change that last fact, if that meant I wouldn’t have read this book.

I must say I finished it being a different person than how I was before I started. And I love it.
I love stories that make you think about your life and about how single moments are precious. How you can not take it for granted — life’s too short for that!

Having myself lost a parent because of a health condition without any warning, literally changed my life. I started seeing things a lot different, also seeing people with other eyes, and kept in mind what truly mattered for me. It sounds weird for a looot of people when I say that — that I’ve left my family behind to go follow my dreams. But I don’t have any regrets, I then started living.
So there was SO MUCH I could relate with the heroine in this story, I could only imagine what her life meant for her, how precious every moment was and why she did everything she did.

Vanessa had so much wisdom that got me speechless. A person enduring what she did, living with the weight of time on her shoulders, and...
