I haven’t done antenna for decades.I ditched satellite and went all streaming. I wanted the major networks for football but didn’t want all the junk stations they packaged with them. For a medium $$ investment up front I now get them for free from here on out.
The signal quality is outstanding. I actually can’t tell the difference in the picture quality from streaming to antenna! The set up was super easy! I wish I’d have cut the cord years ago. The antenna blends into the house and you don’t even notice it. These go on sale fairly frequently. This is an outstanding value for the money. The internet said I’d get around 20 channels but as frequently mentioned you get way more than they say. I pull in 50 channels.

This Antenna worked perfectly for my needs!!
I debated over this Antennas Direct unit (ClearStream 4MAX) or the ClearStream 4V.
Using the local transmitter tower map for my location (through Antennas Direct tv transmitter locator web site), I decided to go with the 4MAX because it was listed with a slightly wider angle.
I added the ClearStream Juice amplifier to compensate for the long cable usage to reach my TV.
I mounted it on the peak with the longer than stock stainless steel lag screws I purchased separately to ensure I reach the boards under the facia for strength in high winds.
My goal was to pick up signals in the green and purple circles (see picture) and assumed I’d pick up the towers within my inner circle regardless of direction.
I experimented first by aiming due south to start, then due west finding 56 channels with a couple long distant ones to pixel out some.
Then I the aimed it southwest in the direction of the furthest large group of transmitter towers and found 64 channels with no issues, no reception issues whatsoever!
I returned to the antenna and secured the wing nuts firmly to maintain the antenna direction...

Very pleased with this antennae. I'm picking up about 50 channels. Only the channels that are in a fairly direct line come in all the time. One channel is only 7 miles away, but is behind the direction the antennae is pointed and doesn't come in during storms. One channel is pretty close to straight direction, but 40 miles away and it also doesn't come in during storms.
I've got it mounted 30' high on top of the house with a clear view over surrounding trees and hills, so I'm getting about as good of reception as you can get. All the other channels are always clear as a bell. Running 3 tvs. I added a signal booster because the cables are between 35' and 50' long and because I'm splitting the signal 3 ways.

Very disappointed in this product, we were only able to capture 2 channels! $80.00 Pretty expensive for 2 local channels! We ended up making our own from a YouTube video and was able to capture 5 channels which cost a total of $3.00!

I bought this to replace my ClearStream 2V that looks like half of this but I hoped the additional gain would help stabilize a couple one-bar UHF channels. While it's built better than the 2V, I didn't notice any appreciable difference in signal quality. Also the UHF has a high gain, while the VHF has low gain. It seems bizarre to have a UHF antenna designed for 70+ miles with a VHF antenna rated at 30 miles. I'm 65 miles from two different transmitters.
