RGCoomer: I liked the design and the feel of the product. It felt similar to a cell. But more is not always better. Too many bells and whistles for my mother in law. Also not always accurate, you must enunciate slowly the words. Could use more volume. Purchase Pocketalk.

KC: This is a great translator. Members of my family are going to Costa Rica this summer, so I bought it for them to use as none speak Spanish. The translator is able to discern between various areas that speak a language (e.g. Costa Rica vs. Mexico), and it is spot on. It was given a big thumbs up by my daughter-in-law who grew up in Mexico City. Highly recommended.

ginette grégoire: Je viens de le recevoir, je vais faire l’essaie dans les prochaines semaines. En premier lieu, j’ai acheté cet appareil car l’on disait avoir une carte SIM avec des données pour 2 ans. Mais il y a pas de SIM, mais un emplacement pour une carte SIM. Un réprésentant du produit m’a dit qu’effectivement il y a pas de carte SIM que nous devons aller acheter une carte Micro SIM. Mais aucune compagnie ne veut vendre une carte SIM, ils disent que cela ne sert a rien, Il faut acheter une carte SIM en lien avec un no de téléphone, ce que je n’ai pas de besoin. De plus, si je veux acheter un forfait sur l’appareil comme indiqué, il est impossible d’acheter pour le Costa Rica. Donc c’est assez décevant et pas conforme à ce qui est indiqué sur amazon. Donc à voir durant mon voyage, l’utilité d’avoir payé ce prix pour un traducteur. De plus impossible de rejoindre un réprésentant poiur avoir plus de détail.

Après un voyage au Costa Rica, impossible d,utiliser l,appareil si aucune connections wi fi disponible donc tres peu utile lors de voyage, dépanne rarement , c,est vraiment dommage pour le cout important

Elvis: I'm really impressed with this. I tested it in many différent languages and it works really well.

I love the fact that all languages are available, that it works independently from your phone and that you can use it without being connected or with the wifi or hotpot on your device.
You can even put in a sim card.

Being able to not only translate your speech in real time, but being able to get a translation as well from your counterpart is just the perfect thing for a traveler who want to have a discussion, but can't due to the language barrier.

Best thing ever.
Only downside I noticed, is that the battery is draining rather quickly. Hope it can be fixed in future models .

Still, because of all that, I'd give a 9/10.

cypress mintz: This product only operates with SIM card. So you’ll have to buy a data plan for it. When we went to Mexico it was going to cost $15/day to use it—same price as the fee to use our phones daily abroad. This is not doable for us.

We’ll be looking for a translator that uses wi-fi!!

Samantha SandersSamantha Sanders: Back in May (2022), when I purchased this translator it was a Godsend. I am a Kindergarten teacher. In May, we welcomed a Ukrainian refugee student to my Kindergarten class. I was able to speak into the translator in English and it would instantly translate my words using the voice to speech tool. This was a HUGELY beneficial in my case because Kindergarteners are not yet able to read. I needed my words to be spoken aloud for him.
The device was not good at understanding his speech, however. Which made it more difficult to communicate. But, I absolutely acknowledge that 5-year-olds (regardless of their native language) can be difficult to understand by A.I.. This device was still so vital to me as a teacher.
After seeing my device, the school even purchased one for the front office. The EL teachers would borrow it to speak to the other Ukrainian speaking students in the older grades. This function worked FOR months. THEN, one day it just stopped. It now tells me that Ukrainian is no longer supported for voice to speech.
I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. I purchased this device with my own money, and $200 is a lot when you're a teacher. I have made sure to check that the device is...

FionaFiona: Love this mini handy translator. It’s nice-looking first of all, and the one button translation is far more convenient than those with 2 buttons which you have to push A for language A and button B for the other language. I just simply tested the translation, though translation without Wi-Fi takes a little bit longer time than it connected to Wi-Fi, result is fine, so far. Well, I didn’t find the conversation mode when I firstly turned it on, but they get back to me soon for how to get it fixed (Update the system then problem solved). I also found that more languages are available after upgraded, so, you’d better update your system before using.

TingTing: The media could not be loaded.  The best translator I have ever bought.
I love this translator. It is very convenient to use. I tried to translate English to Spanish, or Spanish to English. It only needs one button to process the translation and translates fast. No matter I speak any one of English/Spanish, it will automatically translate to another one. This is completely different from the one I bought last year which has two buttons for different languages input. I tested it with my Japanese and Chinese friends, it works perfectly.

In addition, it has a big and high definition screen, I can see if it recorded my words correctly or not. And I can also check the translation records which really helps me a lot. Cause my memory is very bad, especially when I need to ask for road directions.

There is one more thing I would to talk about that it’s an online translator but it can automatically connect to the Internet, which is powered by its embedded SIM. Translation data is free for the 1st year as it says on the website. Besides, it can connect to internet by general SIM card network and WI-FI.
