T. Bonini: This antenna was bought to replace one of those silly 200 mile amplified antennas with the built in rotor. The older antenna had signal issues when it was windy and pretty much lost CBS although I think that was due more to CBS trying to get more subscribers for their "All Access" channel. The funny thing is that the antenna is mounted in the attic and is shielded from the weather. I realizes that I needed a bigger antenna and was deciding between this one and the Clear View model and this one had slightly better reviews and about half the price.

The antenna came in good shape but one of the nuts on the U bolt was missing. Luckily, it was lying in the box. The first thing that I would check prior to assembly is the coax cartridge. It is separate from the antenna and comes in its own box. Make sure that the housing is not cracked and that the 4 forks that connect it to the antenna elements are not damaged or missing because the antenna is useless if this part is damaged and it is not easy to get. It would be easier just to exchange the antenna and that is MUCH easier to do while the antenna is still folded up and refolding the elements after...

DougS: This antenna is quality built. The instructions can be confusing for assembly. Take your time and if you have a picture make sure that you refer to it. Remember that the antenna is not tuned for low band VHF. I installed this at my friend's house last weekend restoring the reception that had recently changed with the FCC repack of channels. We are on the north shore of Lake Ontario looking at the multitude of US stations south of the south shore. The rotor is not in place yet so looking in different directions isn't yet possible but when it is I expect even more stations will be received. This is a long antenna at almost 14 foot in length. It can be an armful on a tower.

Rudy: Installation instructions are not the best, and i made few mistakes and had to disassemble and start all over.
First. Make sure that from the very start when sliding two half's of the antenna together, push and guide two aluminum wires into holes provided on the black plastic junction box. Once two half's of the antenna are in place it is impossible to put those wires in the box.
Second. If upper and lower U bolts and clamps don’t perfectly align, you have to reverse UHF reflectors. If not aligned, use other reflector on the top.In my case there was a 3 inch offset between U bolts. It would be impossible to mount antenna on the mast. It is best to first install upper UHF reflector and upper support boom, and check for U bolt alignment. Both UHF reflectors square tubing booms should be facing toward the antenna.
Third. seal with silicone 4 holes where aluminum wires enter plastic junction box to prevent water leaking in and ruining the pc board and components in the box. Don’t block the drain hole on the bottom. I used some silicone to glue two half's of the plastic box together because I didn’t have confidence they would stay together under the...

Lapierre Dominique: We are living very far from the towers of montreal (st-Cuthbert). We had Bell Canada service and $$ every month 80$....:(
Now, we have : radio-canada, TVA, V, city, global, cbs, tele-quebec, ctv, pbs (57.1,57.2, and 57.3 pbs world) and 62.1 (don't remember the name....) all of them HD !!!!!!!!! No difference of the image in terms of quality of sound...WOW :)
The values are: 100% signal quality and 48% of signal strenght, i putt a channel master 7777 preamplifier and now i have 100% signal quality and 59% signal str,
No more fees, saving almost 1300$ / year include tx. !!! :)

Ben: I did a good bit of research on antennas prior to buying this one. If you are buying an antenna for today's digital broadcasts this may be the perfect choice if you live where stations are 15 to 60 miles away. The first thing you should consider is what stations (broadcast frequencies) you are trying to receive, how far away they are, and in what direction. Most digital broadcasts are on the UHF frequencies but most markets still have one or two on the VHF band (2-13). Make sure to check [...] to see what is available in your area as well as what the true "broadcast" channel is. The station name, such as Channel 7 no longer necessarily means the station broadcasts on channel 7. This antenna is very good over the UHF and "High" VHF frequencies (i.e. channel 7 and up). Since many markets no longer have stations broadcasting on the 2 thu 6 range this antenna should be a great choice for most people. In my market, Dayton, Ohio all of the stations are on the UHF frequencies but a couple of the stations in Cincinnati (about 50 miles away) broadcast on the 7 thru 13 channels, so this antenna was perfect. I get all of the Dayton stations and nearly all of the...
