eRapta Backup Camera System with 4.3" LCD Monitor (ERT01)

SpSp: The 7” monitor and camera worked perfectly for my application. Needed to add additional camera to my Sprinter Van because the original is so small and in the mirror. Modified the front dash mount and rear license plate mount and they fit perfectly. The rear mount actually looks factory mounted to the original camera mount. Simple connections and no hard wiring required. Really like that it can be turned on and off easily. Also allowing me to be able to see what is behind me at all times. Had a few questions and the factory support went above and beyond to answer my questions. Would definitely recommend and purchase again from them.

Terris: First of all, the size was perfect. I didn't want something huge and this is mounted perfectly by the driver's side window. There are only a few minutes of glare a day where the picture is not as clear, not a big deal. I sell real estate and have to back out of long driveways, down gravel roads, and curbs are always an issue. The picture is just the right size for me. I left the grids in place, for me this is a great help. We hooked it up to the reverse lights, so I am not using the cigarette lighter attachment. We did modify the camera mount so it wouldn't hide my license plate expiration info. I can't imagine not having this now. Good value!

As I was accustomed to having one, the lack of a camera in my new vehicle caused me concern, so I purchased this one to install. It was simple to do and as long as you know what you are doing its not hard to hide the wires so they are not an eye sore.

This merely plugs into the lighter port in the vehicle, so no actual electrical work is required. I was able to enter my vehicle, and when I put it in reverse, the camera screen illuminated to reveal a bicycle behind me, thereby saving my son's bicycle. It is reasonably priced, straightforward to install, effective, and offers a clear view behind the vehicle.

Jimbone: At $40, I believed this was a good purchase. Install was a huge hassle though. Mostly from wiring and routing. Not recommended if you are not handy tearing your car's trims apart and knowing where to splice the wires (requires a car wiring diagram). In the end, the picture quality was exceptional in daylight and quite good nighttime. The wide angle lens and distance grid helped guide me to park precisely (I prefer bumper in parking whenever possible). Never worry about hitting walls or other objects. Only thing I didn't like was the adhesive mounting pad they provided. It was weak and softened in the sun. I messaged the company asking for a suction cup base. They sent one but it did not fit the base of the camera. I'm in the process of modifying the suction cup plate to fit the camera; which I shouldn't have to. Hence the 4 star...

mr. plow: first things first, this is the second camera i got from this vendor. the first one did not work (only showed a blue screen) and was returned through the amazon returns program

ive returned dozens of things through amazon and this was the first and only time the vendor actually reached out to me to see what the issue was, and how to improve it

so, kudos for that

as for the camera and screen (and this is for the wired camera with the 7 inch screen, in case amazon decides to group this review in with who knows what...the dont seem to be to particular)

one thing i love about this screen is that is has a memory
i have had other back up cameras in the same price range and way to often, whatever changes i make to back up lines width, height, or whatever does not get stored so when i power the camera back on, it will be back on the default settings which is a pain

this particular screen goes right back to where i left it off, which is great

there are only two places where i think they can really improve on this product and the first is a home screen
when you first turn on this camera, there is a picture of some european trucks on the...
