Christine McGraw: I purchased this antenna last August after researching and discussing with neighbors that had already cut the cord. I am on the central coast of California and towers in San Luis Obispo are only 20 miles away. I used TV Fool to get transmitter information and there are about 40 channels available, but many were 30 miles in the opposite direction. My neighbor was on his second antenna and paid just a little less for one that you tack in a window, but he has the advantage of a 2-story house with a window facing the optimum direction. He gets over 20 channels and that works for him. With transmitters in opposing directions, I picked this one for optimum coverage and I am getting 50 channels without a booster. About 10 channels are duplicates and a few do not have good reception, but I am happy with the results. The antenna is mounted at the peak of my single-story home on a 4-foot mast, so less than 20 feet high. To my surprise when I reprogrammed my Samsung smart TV it added all the channels and about half of them transmit TV guide info, so we know what is on all the major networks. After almost a year it has worked as advertised and we only had one huge...

dagwinn: Where we live is flat. We're cord cutters, but I wanted a way to watch local news stations in event of a storm (after all, there's a reason the house came with a tornado shelter). The main broadcast towers are less than 20 miles away, but they are located in two clusters in different directions. This antenna worked great at picking up stations; all the ones our TV can detect have a strong signal and clear pictures.

The antenna is hanging from a length of PVC pipe screwed into a rafter in the roof. Because the broadcast towers are relatively close, I didn't have to worry much about height. I used an app on my phone to orient the panels in the direction of the two clusters of broadcast antennas. And because it's under the shingles, I could be less concerned about stability and strength. After all, if the wind is blowing this antenna around, I'm going to have bigger issues to worry about.

I dropped a coaxial cable down the same hole as our internet provider's coaxial cable. And I then I used a dual-plug coaxial wall jack to provide connection for the antenna and cable internet. To my benefit, cable was not installed when the house was built, so I...

Subhash OjhaSubhash Ojha: Instructions to assemble are not that clear. Picture quality is good. Plus point is that you don’t need any power supply in the co-axial antenna cable. Boe-ties needs to be facing towards the tv towers. I used my old curtain rod and old dish mast for outdoor assembly.

harue collinsharue collins: I went to tvfool.com to find out where my sources (directions and frequencies of broadcast) for TV broadcasting in my area. You need to start there because there may be a weaker signal that is broadcasting purely vhf ranges that requires a band specific beam antenna. Here is an example. In San Diego CBS transmits from Mt. Soledad via VHF. Since that station is my problem child for reception, I'm better offer getting stellar labs vhf beam antenna specifically for that direction. Set it and forget it once up. Note: a band specific antenna will outperform a multi-band antenna. So knowing what frequency your "hard to get" tower is broadcasting is clutch information. Whereas there are several close multi band (vhf/uhf) towers in other directions that allow for this particular antenna to work well.

This particular antenna works well for three separate towers that are close by(Tijuana and 2 near Mt. Miguel). Look at the pics to appreciate how cheap the coax cable connectors are that come with the antenna. I used quad shield rg6 cable connectors instead, also pictured . A trip to the hardware store was required as another reviewer has mentioned , no...

D........: All I can say is WOW, this antenna did a fantastic job for me. It's half the size of my old antenna and pulls in almost twice the channel's I now get ( 59 ) over the air though some show the same programming, I've found that sometimes different broadcasters will run different episodes of the same show. But anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase. The coaxial cable that was suppose to come with it was missing so I contact Amazon ( shipper ) they immediately refund $25.00 back to my credit card. I just used the coaxial from my old antenna. saved 25.00 nice. It's very easy to assemble, No tools required but I used a pair of plyers, I wanted the wing nuts to be tighter than finger tight. Oh, and the channels I do get are almost off the bar as far as signal strength. I strongly recommend this antenna, well made, easy to assemble, and fantastic signal. I offset the two by just a couple degrees.
