Lorna S.: I ordered this for my 90 year old father, upon arrival we noted that is was rather small and he reported that he would feel unsafe and unstable on this bench. We put it together, he sat on it, and decided it wasnt for him. I went back on Amazon to ask for a refund - all the packaging is intact, the product was never used, just sat on for about 5 seconds - and they indicated that a refund was not available for this product. As I read the reviews from other purchasers, I see they have been successful with a return and refund request. Puzzling and Frustrating to say the least!

Amazon Customer: Got it. Put it together without much of a problem and then realized you can't shut the shower curtain with the seat in the way. I couldn't figure out a way not to get water all over, so I returned it. The quality was good and I guess it must work for someone.

Brian A KinneyBrian A Kinney: This transfer bench is very well made and easy to assemble. I am a paraplegic without sensation so it is important that I have a well padded bench to ensure I do not develop a pressure sore while showering. It’s made to sit halfway in/out of a shower or tub but I’ve found it still fits in a standard shower stall which allows the shower curtain to completely close. No wet floors using this method! I’ve probably owned 5 of these benches over the years but replace them when the padding wears out over time.

Michel Lonergan: I bought this shower chair, when it arrived at home I unpacked my new shower bench and noticed that there were construction defects in the vinyl pads.
I immediately asked Amazon for advice and Amazon suggested a refund or a replacement. I chose a replacement I need it, the manufacturer inform me an another bench will be ship ASAP with no paperwork to do. I had an excellent service from Medical Drive, within a week I received my 2nd shower Bench.
I thank the company Drive Medical as well, the assistance of Amazon. The product and very good qualities.

Nancy Kyler: I'm a T6 complete para and this was recommended by my OT and PT at the Shepherd Center. I've now been using it at home for 7 months and have had zero issues with it. The seat is soft, which makes it easy on the skin, plus you can sort of reach under it while washing one's nether regions. I've found it to be sturdy and stable when transferring, although it does wobble a bit during transferring due to the uneven surfaces of the shower. This is easily overcome by using a bath mat with a rubber underside beneath the two legs that are farthest away. I don't think you can beat this for the price. I'm buying another one now for traveling, and hoping they don't stop producing this.
