Bobby Lacroix: The hub stopped connecting to the wifi after 7 months of working correctly. No changes to the wifi network's configuration occured and it won't reconnect. The alarm and sensors still work, but since the wifi alerts don't, we can't be alerted when away on vacation for example, so not very useful now.

Amazing: The app is simple, The remote is super convenient, and the set up is incredibly simple. I even set it up w my Alexa device and my ring doorbell. LOVE IT. BUT- the app does not explain what each door mode means. I had to experiment with each of them to figure out how to set it up to JUST chime on my son’s door and not ALARM even when it’s on Lockdown. They should’ve considered that not every lives in a home with 2 entrance doors and a million windows. I live in an apartment with one main door and a very explorative 5 year old with autism. But besides that I have no complaints. Amazing product.

James A. Thompson: It took me several hours to "fix my house" to meet the demands of the door sensor units. The magnet (reed or Hall-effect switch) must be VERY CLOSE to the sending unit (1-2mm - touching) in order to work. Once set, the hardware and downloaded phone app work flawlessly. The unit will send an alarm when power is restored after a power failure, letting you know it needs reset. The batteries last ~6 months, so always have spares available. My garage door switch is 53' from the alarm unit and installed on the backside of a fire door (inside a metal garage) and works perfectly, that's impressive. I would recommend this product!!!

Ronald S Duffy: I previously bought a Kerui security system which did not work. I was very happy to discover that this CPVAN system was able to discover and use the Kerui door and motion sensors. Saved me a lot of money in rigging up the full house.

App works well and is easy to use. The home module is small and discreet. Can't speak to the loudness of the alarm as my focus is on being alerted by my phone. Here is the really important part - the wireless is sensitive enough to pick up the sensors from all parts of the house. It is able to read the patio door sensor which is one story up and halfway across the house. It is able to read the front door sensor which is located on the other side of a solid double brick wall.

skeeter: Alleviates my concern as a mom when I go to work and the kids are running around the house. There were a few times my kids would open the door without my knowledge and this has helped tremendously, you can get a notification through the app provided (smartlife) or the alarm from the transponder. With the transponder alarm it scared my kids to closing the door and running to get an adult which is exactly what I was hoping would happen.

The app works great and the product itself was easy to install and they give you extra pieces for if you need to move it.

kendallkendall: The media could not be loaded.  to be unnecessarily transparent, I have a sketchy roommate who sneaks people in while I’m sleeping. Obviously being uncomfortable with unknown people around me while I’m unconscious, I was losing sleep wondering if someone would be coming in if I slept. So, I resorted to this. It was a bit annoying trying to set up, I couldn’t get it flush with the side of my front door began thinking I was going to have to return it and try something else till it worked on the top of my door. Which is probably better out of reach anyway, I was worried about her taking it down as it’s just a small battery operating it + sticker holding it up but! any time it moves it sends a notification straight to my phone without a sound, I tried taking the battery out / tricking it and each time it notified me as door open, it’s completely silenced for everyone but me. Truthfully I don’t even think she knows what it is / maybe hasn’t noticed it with how small it is, but it’s given me major peace of mind and helps me sleep.

Deanna: Easy to install and lots of features/settings to customize it the way you want but they can be a little confusing to navigate at first. Still missing a couple of key settings/features I would like to use but for the price can’t complain.

SFCASFCA: The two door/window sensors were easy to setup. You can see that I have use them both as door sensors with one in the garage door and one in the front door. You don't need for the two parts to be really close together and depending on the door and frame, distance between the two parts maybe farther apart but they still work correctly. You can test the two parts before permanently taping them down with the 3M double sided tape. I first place the two parts on the table about the distance that they would be apart if taped onto the door and then move one piece apart from the other to see if the alarm would be triggered. One thing to note is that the base unit should be within about 30 to 40 feet of the sensors for the base unit to be trigger consistently if the doors are open. Not sure if that is particular in my case or not. I have the base unit in the middle of the house.

The sensors and base unit are compatible with the Smart Life app that will need to be downloaded. It was easy to connect the base unit with the Smart Life app and no need to pair the two sensor with the base unit as they are already paired.
