BOSCAM Solar-Powered Wireless Backup Camera - HD Picture Quality, Easy DIY Installation

I live in California where the sun is hot, so there are some parts that go bad easily, but they have a great service for replacing parts and it's working great now. I am very happy with the service from this camera company and the performance of the camera.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I didn’t realize that the product is covered under a 1 year warranty and customer service was exemplary! “Gigi” customer service. A new camera unit was sent replacing my old camera unit that didn’t want to charge and power on. Unfortunately the new camera sent had no issue powering on and charging but could not connect to screen unit. With that new issue with a new camera “Gigi” helped walked me through the steps to troubleshoot but to no avail. Now I have a whole new set on the way replacing everything!

M. C. Lucraft: I have 2 cameras for the front and back with solar chargers for my Tourneo Grand Connect wheelchair access vehicle. Helps with seeing what is ahead and behind when manoeuvring. Easy to fit and set up. At present I have them cable tied to the plate frame but will look to make them a bit more permanent in time. Make sure to charge before use. One of the cameras came with what seems to be a faulty battery that will not charge but the supplier sorted out the issue straight away by sending a replacement, very appreciated and good customer service. As they are wireless and not powered from the reverse light you need to need to switch the monitor on for use, (comes on when you start the car when using an engine start 12v socket like the dash one on the Tourneo), and toggle the cameras if you have two, but as long as you can reach the switch then there's no issue, (the windscreen on the Tourneo is about 3m from the driver lol). They do project out both ends, especially when the solar panel is attached and so I'm a tad concerned that they will get clobbered when manoeuvring, but I'll sort mounting the solar panel separately when I can.

PetePete: So far so good, great picture quality and very easy to setup.
Only things is it doesn't fit all models on the location I have but have added stronger 3m tape to pad and secure.
Haven't tested night vision but if it's as good as the rest 👍👍👍

Raydaboz: This was very easy to install and use. I removed the camera from the box, noticed that the instructions said that its battery needed to be fully charged. I Plugged it into a micro usb charger and when I came back two hours later the red light had changed to green. I clipped the solar panel unto the camera, pulled off the cover at the end of the camera and plugged the solar panel into the end of the camera. I went out to the truck, unscrewed the license plate and then reinstalled it with the camera bracket behind the plate. I then pushed the on button at the other end of the camera. I plugged the cigarette charger into the truck and connected it to the wire from the monitor. Within a minute I was seeing a view from the back of the truck, I think without the time for the initial charging of the unit that this install took less than 5 minutes.
The monitor has a few options you can change. The only one I changed was to display the rear view for 45 seconds rather than 60 seconds which was the default.
Time will tell and I will update this review if problems arise. But for now this camera is a definite five star. The picture quality is very good. The only thing I would have liked...

Duane D McGuire: Bought this for my RV. I was offered a 2nd camera at no additional charge. I had misplaced my instruction manual so needed to contact customer service by email a couple times to get the 2nd camera paired and operational. There are steps to follow that are not obvious without the instructions. Note that the solar panel has changed slightly from what is pictured. I no longer see the individual panels, it has a solid black covering that does not affect operation of the panel. At first I thought perhaps it was a protective cover that should be removed, but it is designed that way. My license plate mount on the RV is higher than most tags and I did not want to use the adhesive mounting strip, I need to try and reset the angle of the camera to get a better view of what is directly behind me. I have not done that yet. I used the windshield mount for the monitor, but didn't remove the adhesive sticker. It is stuck firmly. Make sure you mount it where you can easily reach it, as you will need to access the control buttons especially if you have two cameras. The camera image does turn off after about 30 seconds. IAN CLARKEIAN CLARKE: This is my 2nd product from this company and just like the first one (a Mirror Dash Cam) I was not disappointed!
I purchased it for my long wheel based Campervan to aid with reversing/parking and it does a brilliant job!
It was really quick and simple to install and set up as there are no wires to mess with!
I have fixed the camera to my rear bumper using the suppled double sided tape and a couple of self tapping screws. The screen was easily mounted on the dash & powered with the supplied 12v lead.
The wireless signal has been faultless and the screen image is really clear - even in the dark (with the reversing lights on and it was raining) - see photos.
I have attached the solar panel to the camera so hopefully won’t need to charge it going forward.
All in all a great product and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a reversing camera for their Campervan/Motorhome.
