Amazon Customer: I bought one for my 2006 Ford Ranger, to replace another third-party camera system that had died. Installing the camera was dead simple, and the wireless connection with the monitor, also. I didn't like having the power cord plugged into the lighter socket, so I patched it into the fuse box, to be energized only when the ignition was on. I attached the monitor to the windshield, just above the dash. That worked so well, I bought another for my 2014 Fusion.

The Fusion was harder, because of the design of the car's taillight housing. To get at the backup light wires, I had to pull back the lining under the trunk lid, which was a pain. Then, identifying the correct wires was hard, because there was no obvious color coding. That part required a multimeter. The provided quick-connect clips made joining the wires easier than soldering, but once I had it working, I discovered that the camera only worked as long as my headlights were off. That turned out to be caused by an insufficient ground attachment. I found some metal near the backup light that I could drill into and use a sheet-metal screw to secure the ground, and after that, it worked perfectly.

Dramatics: Used this backup camera on a 2013 BMW X1 that did not have a backup camera.
Customer service was very good as Gigi quickly sent an extension cable needed to power the camera from the backup light to above the license plate in the top hinged swinging back door.
The image quality is very good but the screen size is small making it hard to see traffic movement when backing out onto a busy street.
The license plate camera mount works well but its limited range made it impossible to set at an angle steep enough to show the top of the rear bumper as it approached fixed objects. Not seeing those last few inches wasn’t critical, just a minor inconvenience.

I felt we received good value given the cost point, quality of customer service (Gigi) and quality of the product.
Have been using it for about a year and it’s been reliable in hot and cold weather.

Grulimar the Bear: The BAD:
Read the product description CAREFULLY. This "wireless" unit requires wires for BOTH the camera and the monitor! The only thing "wireless" is the communication between the camera and the monitor. (Idle question: If you had to wire both components anyway, why not pass the signal through the wire and not rely on a wireless signal?}

The GOOD:
It's a really nice system. The camera and monitor both seem to function very well. The 110 degree field of vision works really well, even if your license plate is mounted on the corner of your vehicle. My wife liked this unit enough that instead of putting it on my car we put it on another vehicle. I see why it's considered best in class across many web sites.

The FANTASTIC:
I emailed in my info to get the warranty extended, and customer service reached back out to see how things were going. I did have an issue, and provided that feedback. I honestly don't think I've ever experienced such incredible customer service ever, on anything I've purchased. Simply amazing -- can't say that enough. Truly exceptional customer service.

Bottom line: Between the quality of the system and customer service that stands...

Sebin Cg: The product really worth the price. Not giving one star for the smaller viewing angle which is only 110 degrees. If it was 150 degree or above should have been made the product priceless.Otherwise very good product with vivid images at day and night.

David Wilhite: Bought this unit to give me some back-up camera capability on my recently acquired 2013 Audi TT RS. I liked the wireless operation part and figured to give it a try. After receiving the unit, I was pleased with the design and features and it was obvious that it would work as I had intended. However, I decided in the interest of quality to get the installation done by a pro and found a good shop to do that. They did a super job, getting everything mounted up just as I was planning. All the cables and transceiver components were hidden behind the rear cargo panel. The monitor was mounted low on the left side of the dash using the windshield vacuum mount with the wiring dropped down into a small fuse panel right underneath. In all a super clean install! The unit works great, with the picture coming up in maybe 2 seconds after shifting into reverse (love that feature using the back-up lights to turn the entire system on). Picture quality is OK and a little jumpy, given the wireless operation, but entirely acceptable for what I wanted, just a simple back-up view. I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting similar performance and features.
