Con DelCon Del: So for the money, you really can’t beat it! The quality of this item exceeded my expectations 10 fold. I just installed this and for the most part it was super straightforward - leave some room for user error if you’ve never done this before. Honestly, set up was super easy but wiring through the car took up about 90% of my time.

I opted to use the cigarette lighter instead of wiring it to the reverse but it’d be easy enough to switch in the future. The monitor is easy to navigate and adjust the brightness/contrast which is also a plus. I like that you’re able to adjust the position of the camera to point higher/lower.

I’ll update in a few weeks if I notice any problems or issues. I do wonder about moisture getting into the lens because it doesn’t seem super sealed, so that’s something to consider when purchasing.

reneerenee: I wanted to install this myself but didn't know how to get the cord into the cab of my truck. Otherwise, it was plug and play. Best Buy did it for me. Took him half an hour and charged $75. I thought that was reasonable, and he (Jared) did a very good job of consealing the cords. I chose the 12v adapter route and really like that you just press the button for on and off and have camera capability all the time. Works great on day one of install! I'm still reading instructions about monitor adjustments but right now it's fine the way it is. I like that it sits on the factory tray on the floor hump of my truck. Haven't even stuck it on there yet and it seems very stable so far. I can easily glance at it and see what's going on behind me and not take up any dash space. I'm looking forward to getting the free gift. I chose the OBD scanner.

Thomas J. Gondek: I purchased one of these units a couple years ago for my other vehicle. I used it for a front facing camera. I had a mustang with a low hanging front spoiler, so as not to continually scrap the spoiler on curbs and curb stones, I installed this unit to assist in guiding me when pulling into a parking spot and avoid the terrible misfortune of tearing up the front spoiler. Worked great. Loved it. So, now I decided to do the same for my Ford Escape. No front spoiler problem here, however, I also use it for a front facing camera, again, to assist in parking. This helps in heading off any front end damage if parking to close to a parking garage wall etc. The screen size is perfect and places on the dash without any line of site problems when driving. This is a great unit. Either front or rear camera monitoring. The color display is clear and precise.....and here in lies a problem...... It worked great for a few hours. Great display and then all of a sudden, blurry. I thought the camera had a smudge on it and cleaned it gently with a very soft cloth....problem still persists. Made sure protective film was off the display. Even when it is on, the display seemed super. So I don't know...

Amazon Customer: The camera and monitor arrived very promptly. I set up both on my workbench and it powered up instantly. The company includes excellent instructions and even the accessories for a bench test. The screen looks similar to the factory unit in my Sonata although it is a bit smaller. The guidance lines are adjustable as the video characteristics.
I bought this unit to install on my truck which is too old for a factory unit. However I now realize that it will involve getting the wires routed from the box into the truck cab which is not simple matter. It will install it on my nephew's van which is a much simpler install. I suggest that the wired unit is best suited for vans and SUV's.

michal sirucekmichal sirucek: I requested a longer cable and it was delivered. It works well. The picture quality is poor but sufficient. I only give it four stars because they advertise it is HD1080p and on "photos" they make it look like the picture is crisp sharp while this system does not deliver such quality. I am still happy with it, considering the low price.

Alexa T.: I wanted a backup camera for my vehicle and decided to try this one out. It was easy to install by attaching the camera to the license plates and plugging it all in through the cigarette lighter. They also offer an adapter for the cigarette lighter or an extra attachment for the screen if needed. The screen is small but I’m happy with that since it shows me what I need without getting in my way. The image is clear and also has the option to show guidance lines which I find is helpful. Overall quite happy with the purchase.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Great product for the price and fabulous customer service / support from Amtifo. I bought this as a front parking camera for my car since the front bumper has insufficient ground clearance to clear parking curbs. I wanted a very basic unit with a small screen so it would not be intrusive in the vehicle's cockpit. This unit does exactly what it should, it was easy to install and was not expensive. I opted to make my own mounting bracket for the camera as I wanted it somewhat hidden and needed the view to capture both the leading edge of my bumper and the ground immediately in front of the car (i.e. so I can see if the lip is going to tag a parking barrier). Great product overall!

JustinJustin: Was looking to get a backup camera for my truck because it has a shell on it and it can be difficult to see whats behind it, especially at night. I ended up getting a second one for my car. Overall, I think this product is great and is pretty easy to install and would be for most people but there are a few things to consider before doing this.

First, my truck has a 6 foot bed with a regular two door cab, no extension. There was enough space between the back of the plate and the bumper to run the camera wire behind the plate but in front of the bumper. This was important because if I would have run the cable on top of the bumper, any time I opened the tailgate, it would hit the wire and I imagine damage it over time. For the car, I had to be creative. I did not want to drill a hole in the body so I ended up drilling a hole in the licence plate bulb housing and running the wire into the trunk that way. So determine how you can run the wire before purchasing this product. Any product with a wire will need to be considered for this.

Second, consider where you are going to run the wire and mount the screen before hand. I think this system will fit most vehicles without...
