I just received the antenna today in a plain white box, and I was excited to attach it to my office TV. Since it's listed as "Amplified," I expected to find an amplifier in the box, however there was none. Then I went to place the antenna about 10 feet from the TV because that would put it in a window, but the "16 ft." cable turned out to be only 6 feet in length. I ended up putting the antenna at the top of a bookcase near the window, and then scanned for channels and almost 75 channels loaded on the TV, more than twice what I could receive before. And the picture quality on my 720p 21" TV is excellent. So far tonight, no digital dropouts and great sound clarity.

After seeing how bad the reception was on this antenna. I wondered how did it have such high star ratings. Looking over the reviews I see that most are for things that have absolutely Nothing to do with an HD antenna.
Do NOT waste your money!!
