stephen digbystephen digby: I fitted the reversing camera to my 7 m motorhome, mounting it high at the back and leaving it on all the time while driving. So easy to set up...biggest problem was getting the wire along the van.
Attached the monitor to my rearview mirror with cable ties...works for me! Very happy with the quality of the equipment and the picture.Replaced a wireless setup which had stopped working...the wired setup is so much more stable!Haven't bothered with recording facility yet. Look forward to receiving the extra small camera which I plan to mount at numberplate level for even safer reversing!

vistanow: I,m fully pleased with the Rohent RV Backup Camera on the back of my Travel Trailer. It has a very clear picture, I can see what is behind me at all times. Since I camp by myself I set up two combs when I back into the site and the grid lines are perfect, they help me place the TT in the right distance to the utilities. At Dusk I have a clear view. This has been a great device for someone who is a newbie at this adventure. The Response time of objects moving in back of me is good. The Monitor in my Tow Vehicle has room for an additional 2 cameras for a total of 4. the menu is intuitive and has a nice quick response to the touch. The setup was easy in the wireless design and the connection is flawless. The main rear camera, is activated when the tow vehicle lights are on, however it does not work when it is in auto mode. Maybe Rohent can look into this. Overall this camera is a 5 Star

Kindle CustomerKindle Customer: I installed this system into a 7m motorhome fiat ducato, it took me about three hrs to install most of that time spent running the cable from the camera to the screen on the dash board. The unit and camera are powered from the cigarette lighter so very easy to install. I want to use the unit as a rear view mirror not only when reversing so did not connect the reversing wire, if you only want to use the unit for reversing it is just as easy to switch it on of at the cigarette lighter if worried about connecting wires. It is supplied with a cable to connect directly to the van/ car electrics which I might do in the future. The grid lines are easy to toggle on off by pressing the V button on the unit, they can also be moved up or down.
The picture is very clear and good in the night as well. This unit also has the advantage of being able to add a second camera and loop recording which is a great advantage over alternative systems I have looked at.
I would have liked to have moved the grid lines out to the width of the motorhome but do not think that is an option but they are still a very good guide.
I would highly recommend this product, for easy of installation and...

Queen: Bought for my camper rear view and put the second camera facing forward. When I hitch my camper and cord to the vehicle I also couple the camera cables together. Having the connection at the rear bumper will allow me to get the license plate rear camera also and hook that up when I am not towing the camper. This will allow me to back up to the ball easily and accurately, then switch camera connectors. The second camera came quickly and is included if you ask per the instruction booklet. Great customer service. You will not read license plates unless they are fairly close to you, but will give excellent evidence if someone hits you. Mine is wired in so it comes on with the key every time and starts recording front and rear. I would not leave on all the time as your battery will run down using over half amp for monitor and 2 cameras. Well worth the money. You get a short and long cable with the unit. The second camera came with another cable, so you won't need more the way I have set it up.

Jo: Ich suchte eine nicht zu teure Kamera für mein Allradwohnmobil um bei Geländefahrten unter den Wagen schauen zu können. Interessanterweise gibt es dazu so gut wie nichts im Netz zu finden. Es gibt Kameras für die Grauwasserentsorgung, aber für meinen gewünschten Zweck habe ich nichts gefunden. So werde ich diese Kamera zeitweise für heikle Geländestrecken unter dem Auto einsetzen. Ich habe die Kamera schon mal einige Stunden laufen lassen und sie und der Monitor wurden nur handwarm und das Bild ist unglaublich gut. Alles dabei, auch 2 unterschiedlich lange Kabel. Man kann sogar Videos aufzeichnen! Einzig die Menüführung ist eine wenig altbacken, aber das ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau. Ich werde an einem geeigneten Punkt am Unterboden die Kamera anklemmen und das Kabel durch das Beifahrerfenster in das Cockpit leiten. Die Kamera ist wasserdicht deklariert, eine konkrete IP Schutzklasse habe ich nicht finden können. Die Befestigung wird noch eine kleine Herausforderung werden, soll sie doch gut halten, aber auch schnell wieder entfernbar sein, da ich die Kamera ja nur für Einzelstrecken nutzen werde. Aber wirklich Panik braucht man ja nicht haben, man hängt ja keine teure...

S. T. Rice: Installed the screen in our minivan. The camera on the back of the pop up camper. Then took a 3,000+ mile road trip to Canada and back. Stopping at camp sites along the way every night. I cannot express how glad I am I got this and was able to get it installed before we left.

Initially I just wanted it for backing up into camp spots and the garage at home. However having it as a rear facing camera feed was even better than I hoped. I could actually see behind me as though there wasn’t a camper there at all. Going down the road I could see if there were emergency vehicles coming up on me. If I was clear of a vehicle I was passing to merge in front. Also it made parking no biggie.

The screen can be a bit too bright at night with a new moon. You can change the brightness in the settings. But would be nice if you could do it from a button or dial or something as well.

I got the two channel DVR but only with one camera. I’m hindsight (Ha!) I only wish I had got a second camera for that second channel. It would have been nice to have the DVR recording forward when we could t get past a drunk driver, and had to stay well behind him for nearly an hr.
