Looks more like a modern vehicle with the camera molded into the tailgate. Great buy 👌
Gotta get used to the rounded view of the camera, time will tell but right now I'm very happy.

LCLC: The cover for the tailgate latch uses T27 screws. The latch handle is held in with 2 - 5/16 (8mm) nuts. I used existing holes in the tailgate to run the wires. I wired the camera as shown in the pic. I connected the camera power and ground at the radio. Power is on constantly so that I can view the camera when not in reverse. I used the purple wire to pick up the reverse signal at the left taillight harness (white/green wire) and bring it forward to the reverse trigger input on the radio.
The camera provides a clear picture. It is slightly offset from the center. Probably wouldn't be noticeable if I didn't have a trailer hitch in place.
The wires to turn off the guide line are probably the thinnest I've ever seen in automotive use. You should probably connect these together before installation if there's any possibility you will want the lines off, because it'll be much easier then.

CP: I think the angle could be better, but overall it’s a decent camera. Night vision is tough but would probably be better with LEDs. This is a cheaper option than others on the market but I felt it to be a good value upgrade for my secondary vehicle. Appears to be decent made handle not bulletproof but not junk. Instructions are almost useless. I read another review and got it all working and installed in a couple hours. I wired as follows: RED and PURPLE joined and connected to reverse lights BLACK- ground to body behind taillight. RED at the head unit was not used. PURPLE at the head unit to backup camera wire. Plugged into RCAMIN port. Routing wires took the longest. Take your time and it’ll be a nice clean look with nothing showing. I went under passenger door sill to rear seat area and drilled hole to run out of the cab. Ran it over the fender well and zip tied in a few places. Overall a great upgrade for my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad.

Ron Coller: I have a Pioneer x3600BHS head unit in my 2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9l. I wanted to system to turn on the camera when I put in reverse automatically. I also want to be able to turn it on by a switch to see how close the butthead behind me is. So my wiring maybe a little bit different than most but should work for all. Typically you would tap into your reverse light (white and green) for power inside the taillight or by the trailer plug (purple and black) from the harness. The camera has a trigger wire! So I used the trigger wire (purple) from the camera and tapped into the reverse light wire (checked with test light and ohm meter - white/green). This tells the radio (head unit) to turn on the camera. I taped up the (red) power wire closest to the camera not using. Ran the (black) ground wire near the taillight. Inside the truck at the head unit I used the (red) power wire and ran into the radio (red) power when key is on wire. Used the trigger wire (purple) and connected to the head units (Backup camera trigger wire - green) Also connected ground wire at the head unit.
Camera Wires ------ Truck wires
Purple (trigger wire) ----- White/green reverse light
