Janna F.: We purchased this backup camera system for our trailer. The camera isn't used as much for backing up as it is for safe view of what's going on behind us while driving. We have large mirrors on the towing vehicle but we wanted a better view. We were delighted in the picture quality as well as the wide field of vision this camera and monitor provided. The wide field allows us to see if it's safe to pass or if anyone is passing us. We are very satisfied and feel made a wise choice.

Four month update: Sometime shortly after some heavy rains in the area, the camera's waterproofing failed. Condensation got in, resulting in a glitchy, dark picture or no signal at all. I contacted the seller via email regarding the problem and they promptly sent a replacement camera. I will probably add some additional sealant to help prevent future water leaks on this camera on installation. Still, I am impressed and pleased with the great customer support!

You can find a nearly endless number of rearview cameras on Amazon and elsewhere with prices and performance all over the map. I had installed a similar unit costing twice as much in our previous motorhome and had found it to be invaluable for monitoring traffic behind me as well as for backup parking the beast. For our new motorhome, I wanted something with a better camera and monitor resolution and after way more research than I cared for, decided on this unit.

I purchased this unit as a replacement for the Way Interglobal camera that was OEM on my travel trailer. The camera seems well made and heavy duty. Included were two metal brackets for the camera and each bracket had various hole patterns to provide flexibility for mounting. The camera and monitor came pre-paired so there was no setup - just plug and play. The picture quality of the monitor is excellent. This unit has backup guidelines that you can turn on and off - but not adjust. In my case, the lines are about right anyway.

About my Install
Since I was replacing an existing camera, I decided to remove the mount, fill the existing holes, and make and install a neoprene gasket (https://amzn.to/3gpx0hU). My trailer curves back at the top, so clearance for the antenna was not an issue. I was able to through-bolt the camera to the trailer wall. In my case power comes from the identification lights, so the camera is on anytime that the exterior trailer lights are illuminated.
