Time's My Teacher: Easy installation, functions as designed, great picture, ok suction cup mount but won't last on a hot, sunny dashboard. Super long cord, and it also comes with a 12v lighter inline power tap.
The line connections (2) are tiny, and each has a male/female section that connects the 4 conductors to the next segment. Be careful with these connectors. They really need a dab of dielectric grease and then wrapped completely up with black electrical tape. If one of these bare connections is exposed to rain, it's going to play hob with the video sugnal.
For some reason, the leds on the cam stay on when the screen is on. Doesn't matter if it's night and IR would better suited with greyscale, or it's sunny and no lights are needed at all - they're always on. No big deal yet, but those bright leds will eventually blind the cam some night when I'm close to a trailer hitch. Which is what I bought it for... I may paint the apex of each led so they only shine sideways.

John Klang: I bought a Bluetooth one of these for my truck from a place that rhymes with Bosco. I installed it and it worked fine but I always ran the battery down because I'd forget to turn it off. The battery was in the license plate frame and it eventually wouldn't take a charge. I discover it was made without replaceable/ rechargeable batteries so irritatingly that becomes disposable. So I look for a replacement camera for it because the display screen still worked fine, it was the frame w/camera that choked. Well I stumble across this one and it was half of what I paid at Bosco and it is hard wired so I wired it to a wire that only was hot when my truck was running, problem solved. I haven't done anything different from factory settings and I probably could do some other adjustments but I'm so happy with it now, I haven't messed with it. I'm pretty handy and it took a couple hours to put it in and route the wires but it could be done quicker I suspect, I just wanted to do it once, do it right and not fuss with it again. I ran the wires under the truck with zip ties along the frame, avoiding anything that was hot, drilled a hole and came up through the door sill and routed the wire up to...

Richard: Great monitor. I like that it has a clean seamless face with no logos on it. The buttons on top do not have a rubber/silicone interface so they rattle while driving. I think I can resolve this with some electric tape. The camera is good but I would have preferred the screw-mount kind. This one has a skinny metal connector to the mounting bar which makes it easy to adjust, but any kind of automatic car wash will bend it and it has to be readjusted. Overall I do like it.

YasmineYasmine: The media could not be loaded. Installation was pretty easy , the cables were long enough for my van ( Honda odyssey ) with a couple feet extra I had to zip tie up . Depending on how hidden you want your cables it may take you awhile like me which by the time I had it running it was dark . Instantly noticed how bright the LEDS were which definitely floods the camera too much . Electrical tape is fine but I have ocd and the tape does bother me but I’ll live . I wish they had a system to turn them off and at the price point it’s at I believe it’s nothing out the way or too extra of a feature to have but whatever . Also noticed that the screen would turn blue and show a “ NO SIGNAL “ , turning the car on and off a couple times fixes it . I’m using the lighter plug install and have weather proofed any connections so I’m not sure what’s causing it to do that but I’ll troubleshoot and find out . You get what you pay for .
UPDATE : it’s been 8 days since install and I’ve lost signal to the camera . I’ve checked all points of connection including fuses to the plug I’m using to power it . It’s only been normal rain the past week some days and the...
