DHG: This product exceeded my expectations. I tested the alerts through multiple walls from the basement and garage (where the water tank is) and got an instant and clear wireless alert signal to my i phone. A bit more expensive than the average brand but well worth it.

I had a small challenge understanding how to pair the sensors via wireless signals to the hub but a quick call to their support hot line was very helpful. Just hold the phone to each of the sensors QR code and voila. One tip: write the location name on each sensor so you don't accidentally mix them up versus the names you give them on the hub.

Shelaine: I love it! Put them by everything and even tested it to see how it works and it works great! Just wish it would have a better notification on my alexa

Mark Nadel: Easy set up with QR code scan. Works well on tests/simulated leaks.

Chaz Limner: I do 'okay' with today's tech but I'm not what I'd call tech savvy. This system is so much easier to setup and use than anything else I've dealt with lately. Importantly, I have no monthly fees! (I think there may be some upgrades you can opt for but not in my case). The leak sensors give me an instant alarm if I have even the smallest amount of water at any locations in the house/garage where I've put a sensor (behind toilet, in under-sink cabinet, beside back of washing machine, etc). On a separate order, we purchased and installed the "YoLink Smart Valve controller 2 with 1" Brass Motorized Ball Valve" and we linked the valve to the sensors, so with that, it will automatically turn off the water when there is a leak. I can also turn the water off/on from my phone app. I know all this sounds big but it was actually all much easier than it sounds!

Even if you don't get the Hub (which means you won't use internet/wifi and won't have the phone app), the LORA technology works so great. LORA Goes much much farther than internet and for us is more reliable than our internet/wifi. So what we did was both. We set this system up to use the internet and therefore use the phone app,...

Slash: The install is not that simple. The initial setup up is very easy and straight forward, but to get the devices to work with Alexa and send Email and Text messages requires a fair amount of time and patience. The devices themselves are very high quality, and should last a long time. If you need tech support it may take sometime, but the effort is worth it. Here what tech support sent to me. To receive email alerts, please make sure you have verified your email address. This is done on the profile page in the Yolink app.
>> From your app's main page, tap the 3 lines at the upper left hand corner> settings> account> email> verify email.
Regarding Alexa, you will need to link first your Yolink account to your Alexa account then create routines in the Alexa app. To link your account, tap the 3 lines at the upper left corner from Yolink app's main page> settings> third-party services> Alexa> get started> open with Alexa> link> enable skill> close
After linking your account, please create routines in your Alexa app to make your sensors trigger other devices like an Alexa Echo dot.
It is the routines in Alexa that require the...

Leslie G.: I purchased this starter kit to see how they work. I will purchase enough to have a sensor under every water line in the house! They are easy to install and work great! The only issue I have is the starter kit costs less than the 4 additional sensors, so I will buy 3 starter kits to get 12 sensors.

Cortesian: We had a flood a few years ago when our 3-year-old American (brand name) water heater in the garage ruptured, blew a hole in the drywall, and water poured into the house. Of course this happened late at night on a holiday weekend. I never, never want to repeat that terrible experience! Reassembling our home took 4-5 months of hassles and more money than the insurance company paid. (We wanted more control than turning everything over to a contractor with a collection of minimum wage workers.)

After much research, we bought a YoLink water detection system with a base station, 12 sensors, and an alarm. Sensors have been located under or next to every source of water in the house -- toilets, sinks, clothes washer, refrigerator, dishwasher (a Sensor 2 runs under it), water heater, and water softener. I'm a 69-year-old woman who isn't a programmer and I'd say the set up was pretty simple. When I got stuck, YoSmart's customer service (hi, Emily!) and tech. support (hi, Eric!) were an email away.

We recently installed the last part of our system -- a YoLink controller and an EcoNet Bulldog-JW+ purchased at https://www.econetshop.com/bulldog-jw2.html. (We ordered the ODK-2...

D. Allen: Update 9 Feb 2021. Customer service support, especially from Eric, has been outstanding. Web-based product description has improved greatly and their suite of products continues to expand with interesting new applications for the YoSmart ecosystem. I have alerts set on all of the components of my YoSmart system, and am impressed to see notices come in on email and smartphone when a component exceeds threshold I set (example house humidity), or the hub falls off the network (example, short power outage).

The main issue had been Hub would not stay connected on 2.4 GHz channel on WiFi, and so had to operate as an Ethernet hardwired connection. Today Eric suggested I unplug the Ethernet and move the Hub more than 6 feet away from Netgear satellite station, so I moved it 50 feet away. After about 30 minutes, my app showed that Hub was again "Offline". Perhaps it was offline immediately and just took that long for the update to percolate through the ecosystem and back to my app.

***************************************
Now that the Hub and Water Leak Sensors are configured, and deployed and Hub is hardwired to home network (NOT WiFi), I give the system 4 stars for...
